Hello!
My name is Wendy.
I did WW about 2 years ago and lost 76lbs...I was over 300lbs.
Then my mom was diagnosed with cancer...but I stayed good;-)
And then...my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer, they have given him 6 months to 2 years.
I gained about 30lbs back...just didnt care about what went into me....other things to worry about.
SO....this past March 3rd, I started WW again....I am down 18lbs so far and I am working out 2 times a week in a gym with a friend and doing cardio at home.
I am feeling good again;-)
Thanks.....

Hello welcome to the family. You will find great support here. Also I am very sorry to hear of your misfortune. It is very hard when a family member is sick and more so when two are. Stay strong and hang in there we are all here to support you. Tina:grouphug:

Welcome to the forums! You will find information motivation and inspiration here for sure.

I can totally sympathize with how family crisis interfere's with one's weight loss journey. I had joined the forums here last August and lost almost 15lbs but then October my Dad was diagnosed with cancer, and died 2 days after Thanksgiving. Then the holidays came and went. So I go to get back on track after gaining almost 8lbs back, when my Mom suddenly dies from a massive stroke the week after Valentines Day. I have once again gotten back on track in earnest 2 weeks ago.

Gratz on your loss so far, and hang in there!
You work and perserverance will pay off!

Thankyou all so much;-)
I know my troubles are small compared to others...but I thankyou for your kind words.
;-)

hey! just thought I'd stop by to say hi!

I am doing WW too...if i can make myself go again, I've been a wee bit scarce for a while... whoops.

Anyway, great job on the 18lbs! keep it up!

Good job on the 18lbs. When life happens, sometimes it's hard to remember that we also need to care about ourselves as well. *hugs* to you for dealing with it all and still getting back on track!
