not giving up

Hi,
I'm new here. I just started a weight loss program, eat more, weigh less. I can't say much about it because I started yesterday. I was skinny most of my life, without dieting (100-118 pounds). A few years ago, I started gaining weight, and I now weigh 195 pounds. I have tried several diets with excercise and lost alot of weight and gained it back. I decided to give this one a try because it is diffeernt then most diets, no meat, low fat, eat without counting calories. Eat freeely whole grains, beans, legumes, whole wheat bread, fruits and vegies.
Has anyone tried this diet?
I'll keep you posted on my progress.
P.S I also started excercising.

hey.. welcome to the forum.. is there any particular name of the diet that u are using..u might find other people who are doing the same and get constant feedback from them.. u can also check the nutrition section...

thanks for your reply! the name of the diet is Eat more, weigh less. It is a mostly vegeterian diet, low fat, hugh in carbs, fruits, and vegies. For me it is easy to follow becuse I don't like meat. In four days, I have lost 2 pounds, eating freely. I eat cereal in the moring, sanck on fruits, vegies, bread, low fat milk products (not too much). For lunch, I can have pasta, rice and beans, low fat pizza, quesedia, anything that is no meat or fish and low in fat (for me, no more than 18 grams of fat, but I eat less fat than that). I eat as much as I want; I eat whenever I feel hungry. I really like this diet. I also started excercising, 30-40 mn a day. The book in the book store for $8.00. It is a scientifically approved diet. I was almost giving up hope of losing weight when I was lead to this diet.

I like that diet and I agree it IS easy to follow. I don't like meat either! Well, I'll have some turkey every now and then. I was a vegetarian for 6-7 years.

We have a really similar diet and I am already seeing results. Hopefully you are too!

What do you do for exercise?

Thanks everybody for the welcome! Gohomejes, what kind of similar diet are you doing? Yes, I already see results, and I feel better with this diet. For excercise, I do the trademill for 30 min and started the stairmaster for 5 min. By the way, the diet is by Dr Ornish.
