Hey guys, im 6 foot and currently way 87kgs, im trying cut down my body fat % so i have a better looking body and also gain fitness as i play soccer regularly.
My current exercise schedule looks like...
Sunday morning : high intensity training with soccer team (200m & 400m sprints, shuttle runs etc)
Monday: sometimes rest, sometimes 3.5km run (16min 40)
tuesday: summer soccer (25 min halves on 1/4 field, so lots of short sprints, faster paced game)
wednesday: rest
thursday: either 5km run or HIIT on a long set of stairs going 100% for maybe 8-10 intervals if that
Friday: Swimming (either 2km if i did HIIT on thursday, or i do HIIT 50m sprints with 30 secs rest if i did 5km run on thursday)
Saturday: Rest
Repeat
however in my training with running i have found its not my cardio that is slowing me down or almost stopping me on my 3.5km or 5km runs but my legs and ankle muscles just get so tired they cant really push anymore. My question is firstly does this look like a good training schedule to loose body fat % and also gain great fitness and secondly do you think my leg problem is just a strength problem and will reduce as my training goes on or should i be doing squats and that to get more strength, or could it be a foot problem and should i go to a foot specialist?
Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
