I thought I should introduce myself now that I'm signed up :) .

Hiya Folks, my name is Holly 'waves briefly'. I live in a fairly cold place called alaska. Recently I got refered to a nutrition class by my doctor, who thinks it's about time I loose wieght and get healtier. I finally wraped up the class recently but I'm still left with the same struggles day in and day out.

I don't have a whole lot of friends that live close to me, and my family all insists in eatting like there is no tomorrow. So I find myself sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to eatting healthy as apposed to eatting the junk food laying around the house. Not to mention everyone I know sort of looks at me strangely when I mention eatting healthy :p.

I've been looking for a forum or group of support for advice and well, some support lol. Which brings me here :) . I have, according to my doctor about 70lbs to loose and I'm hoping to shead about 15 of them by the end of summer.

Hopefully I don't sound too cheesey, ya'll get to be the first forum I've ever signed up with lol. I'm open to advice, experiences or anything some of the other members here might want to tell me :)

this was the first forum i ever signed up for too :) and is helping me a great deal. first start by browsing around and reading the stickies. and then open your diary :) so you can keep track of yourself.

welcome

Welcome

Hi Phoenix!!!

This is my first experience in a forum too. I am new around and trying to make friends for support. I have to loose almost 64 pounds. I am eating healthier and joined a gym. Baby steps is the better strategy. This forum is a very fun way to find support. You can find a lot of motivation reading other people diaries and before and after transformations.

Are you doing any workouts?

This is my first forum too, so we are all in the same boat.
I have learnt loads by reading the posts, and now I am going to start a diary to help keep me going through the bad times. Its so difficult to cheat when you know you have to write it down in the diary :)
Cheers.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome. It is nice to know that there are others on the same boat as I am :) . I am still trying to eat healthy while learning not to stress eat heh.

I haven't been doing much exersices besides walking. I'm pretty much a book worm and a computer addict, so I've been trying to start out my activities slowly lol. I used to do ballet and jazz for about 7 years when I was younger so I actually was thinking of that for a fun work out as apposed to going to the gym everyday.

I'll be sure to see about writing a food diary on here soon :) . My nutrition teacher wants me to record what I eat everyday too. Now to lay off that cake left over from Mother's Day :rotflmao:
