noobie

hey, I'm 14 almost 15 and ive just started going to the gym 4 times a week for 1h 30min. I was wondering what kind of excesie should I do in order to lose a bit of weight (stomach fat) and gain muscle. I am also planning on changing my diet. I've stopped eating Wendys and McDonalds. So I dont know where to start I've been in the gym for a couple of times already but its mostly just getting use to the machines and etc. So here are my questions...

1. What should I do in the gym in order to gain a flat stomach (6pac) and have a good endurance run faster and what to do for legs? .... (mon, tues, wed, thurs)

2. What should I eat in the morning afternoon and etc.

3. Is subway healthy (if yes witch subs)

4. Also I've noticed some pain in my stomach from last week like for example when I lay down/get up I feel pain??? :confused:

Oh and most importently I'm 6feet and 170pounds. :D
 
14yrs old, 6foot 170lbs?!?! wow, you better take adavantage lol.. when i was 14 i was a runt! anyways..

1. getting a flat stomach is gotten in the kitchen. building nice ab muscles can be done with sit ups, crunches, leg raises, etc.(search forums for ab exercises, ull get 100's of forums)

2. otmeal is good in the morning, always eat breakfast!

3. short answer? no. lol, try to eat home made foods, that way you know whats in them! chicken is always good, lean meats.. try to stay with 5 - 6 meals a day, itll keep the metabolism goin(helping the ab cause)

4. is it soarness from working out??
 
the soarness if probally from doing lots of ab work outs which im assuming you did, your muscles are just all torn up and are repairing them selves, its normal i got it first time i did 200 cunches in one sitting. then i realized "no such thing as spot training", so i started cardio, which is what you should do, thats the only good and fast way(with a clean diet of course) to lose the little bit of stomache fat.

14 6' only 170lbs lol i was some thing like 250 when i was 14, but yeah keep up the healthy eating try to get some more protein in you to gain muscle and keep up being active it will come and the rewards are well worth the effort and the wait.
 
i had soreness in my arms but the stomach is gettin better but as we speak its make all kinds of weird noises lol it just stopped now hope it doesnt come back

today i had no breakfest then pizza sprite diet at 1pm :D a small beg of chips then went to workout for 1h 30min and walked home 2k with a buddy and then ran sprinted (i had too lol) and at home i had tostitos and orange soda man i eat praetty bad!!! lol i need to stop by monday !!! thats when im gone really try to get in shape :p i lost 10-15 pounds since sept i stopped eatin all that gressy stuff not that i wanted to but ran out of $$ lol

1. How do I get like strong arms just weight lifting what do u suggest i was thinkin 10 pounds 15reps for 3 sets with 20 sec break between?
 
man that is fooking terrible food, how can you do that to your body, i could never imagine eating that much pop and crap in one day not even in one month.... first thing that HAS to go is the pop, pop is nothing but sugar and empty calories that only go to fat, and you need breakfast to keep your metabolism up.

basic bicep curls, i do them with just 20lbs weights, or doulbe arm curls on my home gym, i do that with 50lbs i do it at that weight till almost failure then i take off 10 lbs and repeat that i get huge gains with that.

do a google search on nutrition. At 14, being 6 foot tall is a blessing, with a proper nutritional base, you could be a monster.
 
1. As mreik said, nothing you do in the gym will give you a flat stomach - what matters is what you do in the kitchen, eating a clean diet.

2. What should I eat in the morning afternoon and etc.DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST! A bowl of oatmeal w/ some cooked egg whites is a perfect choice.
For lunch, sandwiches are good with some fruit or a salad, and grilled chicken is your best bet.

Definitely skip the pizza, diet sodas, chips, etc. Replace them with turkey sandwiches on 100% whole wheat bread or some grilled chicken and a salad. Diet sodas may not have all the calories of the regular sodas, but it's still a poor choice. Drink a lot of water and some skim milk if you get bored of water. Instead of snacking on chips, have some fruit - sliced apples, strawberries, fresh raspberries, clementines, bananas, etc. Have your parents buy you healthy food and ask them not to buy sodas and chips and whatnot.
 
Soda....*laughs* Oh dear, that stuff is evil. I looooove Dr. Pepper, but I'm Catholic, and it's lent, so being a good girl, I gave up what I love the most..Dr. Pepper. Now, suprisingly, I havn't felt a single craving for it, which is HIGHLY unusual for me, since that was my only source for caffiene (don't like tea, don't like coffee), and most of my weight probably came from drinking....Dr. Pepper. As I said...Soda is EVIL if you want to loose weight.

Lots of fruit and veggies (unless you're a picky eater like myself and only happen to like 3 veggies, 4 occasionally....) Subway should be okay, get the Tuna sub, or whatever it's called, or whatever has turkey in it. Tuna has tons of protien in it :)

Now...that being said. I'm a couple years older than you, and one of my biggest problems was my dad's problem...suprisingly. Dad, mom and I had started the Atkins diet (as well as tried the grapefruit diet), and the reason why we failed THOSE two was dad kept bringing in big bags of chips whenever he went to Wal-mart to pick up some stuff, and I only get cravings if it's in the house...sooo...there went my diet. But now he's really turning into a health buff, and the only kind of 'junk' food in the house are some pretzles, and some Seven up plus (the mixed fruit thing, which is so incredibly sweet your teeth will fall off) and some...C2, I think, none of which I really like...

So maybe ask your parents to buy lots of fruits and veggies, and instead of drinking juice or soda, drink water! Not only is it healthy for you, curbs your hunger, but it also flushes the toxins from your system. You can't ever go wrong with water :)
