hey all,

Just joined the forum and figured I'd say hey. I'll likely post some pics shortly but I don't have any to put up yet. Here are some basic stats. 25/m, 5'9 and 200lbs.

Have been in great shape most of my life until about two years ago. Got lazy during my last year at college due to classes (well at least that's my excuess it's likely more the social life and drinking that really hurt).

I got back into working out and eating better a few weeks ago and have dropped about 20lbs so far but want to get down to 170 or maybe even lower then that in the long run.

Couple intro questions. I've read through the suppliment threads but still feel kinda lost. I've never really taken anything other then protein shakes and multi vitamans and Im currently just taking a multi once a day. Any advise on suppliments would be great. (have been looking into green tea/fish oils/caffine but i'm open to any thoughts) Second I'm not gonna lie, I love going out and drinking with friends. I want to be in shape but it's something that is unlikely to stop (at least in the near future). I have been trying to not do it as often but completely quiting is currently not really an option so any thoughts on what to drink would be great.

Thanks for any thoughts

Hello Gerry! I saw from your other thread that you are from central ohio, and so am I!

Also, lifestyle is a great gym. If you have the PT 123 thing, I would highly suggest you do that because the trainers can give you some advice on what types of workouts you should do.

So far I only have good things to say about lifestyles. I wish the ones by me had pools and boxing equipment would be nice too (however I have that at my house).

I wish I could retake the PT123 thing... I did it when I first joined the gym about 7 months ago (I lasted a few months then traveled a lot for work and got off track and just started going often again). I haven't checked into the prices for the personal trainers but I think I might get a handful of sessions while I'm getting into things.

Glad to see some other Ohio people on here. Go bucks (i'm an osu grad.)

-Gerry

Hey Gerry! I know we have not formally been introduced, but I'm Melissa and I am in the Vegas Challenge with you. I just wanted to let you know that despite the bickering that has gone on back and forth I really look forward to competing against you and Shaun. The two of you came out of the gate swinging and I was totally blown away. You've taken this competition to a new level and for that I thank you.

I can tell you and Shaun are in this to win it. I look forward to feeding off your energy over the next few months....OOUUUU Don't let me catch u!! :reddevil:

PS - Have you started a diary, or is this it?

Yeah humps, I don't think he has a diary. He works a lot, usually 50-60 hours a week. Between that and the challenge he stays pretty busy.
