noob here

Hello everyone.
So I just turned 21 a month ago. I used to weight about 172lbs. A weight I was happy with because even though I did not work out, I was always pretty active at work and with friends.

About a year ago, My Fiancee broke it all off. With my depression came alot of food and a lot of days in my bed. Lost my job and friends. Now,I found myself weighing in at 210lbs and way out of shape.

I hate the what I've let myself turn into. I'm looking to start working out and improve my eating habits. Problem is, I have no idea where or how to start.
I'd like to keep a log because I like to see any changes happening. I completely dropped all soft and sugar filled drinks with water. I've replaced snacks like chips, and fried things or sweets for fruits and veggies.

ONE MAIN PROBLEM I have is that I now go to school and work FULL TIME. I get about 6 hours of sleep at the most each day. With my day fully taken care of, I seem to always run towards fast food to get a bite to eat.

My goal is to lose 25lbs.
Work out as much as time allows me to, so I can increase muscle mass.

If anyone has any help fo rme, I would appreciate it with all my heart.
I'm really loking to better myself, and I'd like to find support somewhere.

Thanks,
Dorian aka Dee

Try this out...

Hit the gym 4 days a week. Do an upper body workout on days 1 and 3. Do a lower body workout on days 2 and 4. Try your best to add muscle without over-training. You really don't need to do 20 sets to grow. Just work the muscle correctly for 2-3 sets and you're golden. At the end of each workout hop on the treadmill. Incline high at a brisk walk for about 25-30 minutes. Look around for some recipes and food ideas that are healthy. Stay low-fat or non-fat on your foods and dairy. Try and stay in these ranges for your macronutrient intake...
270-325g of protein
240-270g of carbs

Eat small meals often, 6-7 times a day to make sure you're keeping your body in fat burning state.

Good luck!
