No time for exercise except..

I work 3 jobs during the week (absolutely NO time) and only have Sundays to work out. Is it possible to lose weight by doing 1 weeks worth of exercise (running, strength traing, cardio) in 1 day? Thank you for your response!

Since it's possible to lose weight with no exercise at all, it's certainly possible with only one day a week of exercise. Someone who does more exercise than I is likely to chime in with how much exercise it's wise to cram into that one day.

no...

you will have to go to the gym often not just one day... if you work 3 jobs and are busy Im assuming that your diet isnt really the greatest?

I worked, went to school played hockey and coached hockey when I was losing all my weight in one year....

Its something that if your dedicated enough to do and you want to do it you will make time...

Workout at home when you wake up in the mornings.

Since you work 3 jobs you probably also have different weekly schedules, leaving gaps to workout in. But even without that:

10 minutes of skip rope + 10 minutes of weightlifting (tricep dips/push ups/sit ups/and a whole variety of other exercises with one set of dumbbells) done everyday is sufficient to become in better shape than 90% of the population.

People who say they dont have 20 free minutes in their daily routines to keep themselves healthy and vibrant are living in a fantasy world and need to prioritize. During one month this summer while working construction we worked 24 days straight, on average 13 hours a day (7 am - 8 pm) and within that period I managed to still hit the gym about 10 times for an hour or so.

Not making excuses...

I appreciate your responses...Honestly, I would like to work out every day. I think I can handle a 2 mile walk every morning or night. And do my longer workouts on Sundays.

Maybe it is all those health insurance commercials for BCBS of Minnesota encouraging people to "groove your body 10 minutes three times a day", but do you have any chances for alternate excercise throughout the day? Instead of taking the elevator to the third floor, take the stairs. Walk a few more minutes from your car to work. Dance in the doctor's waiting room -- which is on the commercial. :)

My job changed offices a few months ago and I park about five blocks away from work downtown now. I did not really plan on the walk every day helping (I parked there for the price and the ease of parking), but the two flights of stairs to my car at the end of the 8-10 minute walk have become much easier recently. I was briskly walking up the stairs and getting short of breath, but now I can make it up the stairs quickly.

I am not going to skip or frollick to lunch at work, but I do like the idea of short little bits of excercise during the day.

The best thing to do is try to do the "little things" while at work.

Use the steps instead of stairs
Drink lots of water instead of coke
Walk to any nearbye places instead of driving if it is walkable

Things of that nature

As someone else said, if you are working THAT MUCH....it will take more of an effort than of a normal person

Diet

the better way if u dont have time is that to control your diet and have strict one... only salads afternoon.no rice and its byproducts.

I'm in a similar situation, i work extremely long hours & get 1 day a week off! But i found a home bench/weight kit keeps me going for the week, 30mins a night / first thing in the morning (& the good part is you are supposed to leave yourself a day inbetween to rest, allthough i try not to & work on different parts of my body) , and on my day off i try to walk everywhere.
How far is your work? Maybe cycling to one of them could help?

Maybe make your movements matter while at work....if you need to stand, reach, twist, bend etc. put strength, feeling and focus into what you're doing. Go beyond job description if you sit a lot...start cleaning or organizing something while getting your job done. Take healthy meals, water etc. with you. If you have unhealthy stops on the way to or from work (picking up lunch (fries, burger, double latte mochachino w/ extra cream....whatever these stops are for...tell yourself before leaving that your going straight home, not negotiable and you will have a healthier chioce when you get home or where ever you're going.)
I used to work at a job where I sat a lot, I tried to stand and move as much as possible, every movement I focused on, I stood tall, stretching my body up as I stood, making all of my movements with precision and quality...but I skipped the part of eating healthy. But boy did I ever feel good when I was doing this & kept myself pretty slim for the amount I was eating (Burger King etc...99% of the time.) Plus 8-10 Lrg. coffees and countless other junk in a 12-15 hour shift.

So I am a firm believer that no matter what you are doing (working, no exercise equip., don't like to exercise, no time etc. you can lose weight as long as your moving with feeling, feeling the strength that you already have in your body...you will add to this as you go, move with resistance, stand tall and eat & drink as healthy as possible, as often as possible. After adding resistance to your movements, release when you feel comfortable to do so.
Don't go through life resisting all the time....do as much as you can in the movement, then release.
The next movement do the same...and so on.
AND...and this is a biggy.....think positive as much as possible!

I just wanted to add that at first, this may feel rather robotic at first, but as you go, your movements will become more fluent, you will be gaining strength regularly...not just once a week when you can and IF you can make it to the gym...it will be a constant, positive thing that will enhance anything and everything else that you do physically and/or mentally.
