Hello, I have a few questions. Well first off alittle bit of info to give an idea of what kind of beginner I am. Well I have 5'10" and i currently weigh 235lbs. Also any idea on the time table one would expect to get from my current weight to 200 lbs would be greatly appreciated as well.

My first one is in the reguards of exercise equipment. For someone just starting out of the Journey of Losing weight is it a must to have equipment?

May i ask also if that answer is yes What are some of the first types I should invest in to jump start my weight loss?

Also If anyone could recommend a good beginners Cardio/Strength training workout utilizing these if any pieces of equipment. Any Information or input would be greatly appreciated

the best exercise is ones that get your heart rate up. even if you can only do several 10 minute sessions, its just as good and burns just as many calories as 1 60 minute session.

Speed walking, running, swimming, cycling, jumping rope, running up and down stairs, burpies, whatever makes you happy. Dont get hung up on equipment or spending lots of money on gear you will probably get bored with or not use after a week or two.
Changing when you do get bored is also a great idea. ive alternated from being at the gym, to swimming, running, cycling (mostly cycling), skipping (but that was hell on the calves for the first week), etc.

I would recommend getting a week pass to a gym somewhere... kind of go over most of their equipment and see what works best for you... what worked for me and other is the olptical, it doesnt take much to be on the oliptical for 20 mins and most people who are overweight can go ont he oliptical for a long period of time and eventually go on to running on the treadmill.
