Nighttime/Daytime Cravings?

Hey... I wanted to ask what some of you do about those awful cravings. I usually get really hungry at night and crave snacks, which I know that I can't have. What do you some of you do to get yourself to stop snacking? Or forget the craving?

usually you crave b/c you havent' eaten right (so I've heard)~

if you eat a good portion of healthy foods and lots of veggies and stuff (insted of the food with high fat and calories that will make you hungry faster)~ you wont' be hungry later on~
 
I find the only reason I'm actually hungry at night time is if I haven't had enough protein during the daytime.

Another reason I get the munchies at night time is if I've had supper too early. I find I need to add another small snack. I try to eat supper between 6 or 7 pm because I normally go to bed at 11pm
 
hmm... I usually try for a piece of fruit... guilty today... I was hungry about 20 min ago, so I ate a banana. It was yummy. :)
 
Thanks for the suggestions. I really like the idea of maybe a fruit or popsicle!!! I really want to stick to this diet and do it right. Yesterday was my first day and I think I did well. Anymore suggestions are welcomed.:)
