hello all! I'm happy to find such a great place on the web to give and receive support on what surely must be one of the hardest things to achieve: a healthy attitude and the body to go with it.

About me: I'm a recently single mother of two boys. I quit smoking three years ago, and have packed on the pounds ever since. To be honest though, not smoking was just a part of it.. I used to stay busy, go walking and hiking and chase my toddlers around. I used to rarely eat out and when I did, I would get a taco at Taco Bell, order a Happy Meal right along with my kids and be happy with the portion sizes.

Needless to say, by boys are older, I'm busier, more tied to a chair every day, and I eat out a lot and eat a lot more when I do. But no more!!!

I've decided to do something about it. I'm moving toward a vegetarian diet (I guess flexitarian, might be more the phrase) and I've joined the YMCA with my boys. I am even prepared to cook again. :looks around for pan: Now I have the tools, the motivation (for the moment, anyway!) to do something about getting my body back; what I need is the support and the know how.

That's where you guys come in. I'm going to need you.
