Hey all,

I'm a 19-year-old college student dealing with independence and exam pressure for the first time, and my weight has reflected this. I've gained around 30 pounds in the last three years, 20 of which I gained in only the last nine months.

I know I'll probably never be as tiny as I was when I was 16, but I definitely want to halt this rapid weight gain and hopefully reverse it to something more manageable. It feels horrible to no longer fit into any of the clothes I bought a year ago.

I have some serious self-control issues when it comes to food, and it's tough to get out and exercise because I suffer from depression, but I'm hoping some extra support will improve matters. I know my friends and family are probably tired of hearing me say "This time I really will do it!"

Welcome to the forum :), there are plenty of members here that can relate to your problems. I suggest that it would be a good idea to start a diary in the diary section of the forum.

loveli I'm a college student as well and you're right it can be pretty tough juggling exams/finals or deadlines and all while remembering to take care of yourself.

You will find a lot of support from similar people here.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to this site! You are not alone in dealing with depression issues. You are doing the right thing because their are plenty of people that are suffering from the same problem that you have.

Hey loveli, welcome to the forum!

I think you'll find a lot of inspiring stories around here, especially in the diary section and the before and after section. Have you thought about starting a diary or joining a challenge?
