Hi guys! I have been on a weight loss rollercoaster for about 8 years now. Up til then I hadn't cared or noticed my weight. I am 29 at 190 and at barely 5 ft tall that just aint good. In a realistic world I'd love to get to 110 lbs but every time I get to the point I am ready to do it someone tells me I'm crazy to want such a low weight. Then I think about getting to 125. So I think that maybe my goal because when I think about it 110 would be tough for me to keep up. The reason I'm here is because I feel like I'm all alone in my weight loss. I cannot afford some of those programs out there. And those lovely 10 for 10 (10 items for $10) deals just don't cut it. I need help. BADLY!!!!!

hey girl!

I know exactly how you feel about wanting to eat health and having no money. My fiancee and I are both students, so we are on a very tight food budget. you can buy fresh vegies like carrots, celery, and green beans for cheap if you buy the bunches of them (not the already cut and cleaned versions) you can usually get more too. Also, there are farmers markets that specialize in cheap produce. Let your honey know that it is worth spending a little more money for a healthier body.

good luck!

Hey there LD,

welcome to the forum. :) Just some personal insight, when I first started off at 225, I had this goal of wanting to get to 115lbs. (Why 115? Ummm.. I have no freaking idea other than, aren't most healthy women in the 110s? haha Or at least that's what I thought back then.) I freaked out. Afterall, losing 10lbs was hard enough, but 100+lbs?? Psychologically, I set myself up for failure. Try setting mini goals, then rewarding yourself after each. For instance, maybe 10 lb increments, that way it won't seem so far fetch to achieve. Lose 10lbs and treat yourself to a pedicure/ manicure. :D You'll get there just as long as you eat health, get active, and be persistent. Wishing you all the best.
