Hello Everyone,

My name is curtis and me and my wife have put on a decent amount of weight since we got married. We both roughly gained around 90 pounds each. I started really getting into dieting and exercise on january 1st. My diet is mainly consisting of whole grain cereal, eggs, veggies, fruits, nuts, greek yogurt, fish, lean meats (chicken breast, bonless pork chops baked instead of fried). I'm trying to get back down to 170 and put on some muscle at the same time and my goal is to be that weight maybe by thanksgiving. My exercise routine mainly consist of walking on the treadmill and a fast pace so that my legs and strengthen up for running. I'm also lifting 15lb dumbells. My starting weight as 224 and I currently at 216 even though it was mainly water weight I lose the first week. If anyone has any more suggestions for me, I would be willing to listen.

Welcome

Get a good plan (seems like you have a pretty good one) and stay focused. Put enough time on plan to form positive habits...Good luck

Hey and Welcome,

Believe it or not the hardest part in losing weight is actually trying to do something about it. And by the looks of it you already did.

So now that you got the hardest part out of the way - the next thing to do is to organize your "diet" in a way that will help your metabolism.

What I mean by that is to eat upwards to 5-6 meals a day. YES you have to eat more BUT each meal has to contain an average of 3-400 calories. I don't know much about you but you have to figure out how many calories you need THEN divide that by 5-6. Make sure you to add 100 more calories in the morning and remove 100 from the last meal in order to take advantage of your fast metabolism in the morning.

Other than that - INCREASE your intensity when exercising.

If you exercise the same routine everyday then all that happens is your body gets used to it and prepares itself to spend ONLY the needed amount of calories.

Finally, you may already know this but WATER WATER WATER. Make sure to drink at least 6 glasses of 8oz water a day.

Don't forget - it's a lifestyle change not a "Diet."

Stay Healthy My Friends,

DAvid
