Newbie

Hi Folks,

My names Alex im 24, I run and take part in a lot of track days in my track prepped car, due to illness at 19/20 I dropped of my competitive fighting and teaching (karate wado ryu) Finally started to get myself back in to condition. Last year I ran a 5k spartan race and 12k. Finally got back to karate. Now a gym goer 3/4 times a week and road run twice a week. Finally getting somewhere now, thought I would sign up to seek maybe some advise etc on general training diet etc. Seems like the ideal place.

So Hello :)

Hi Alex,
How are you? Good to hear so much about about you. I am also a new member on this forum. I like working out though i have started it recently only.

For diet, I can give you a general tip; if you don't know the ingredient, don't eat it.
For workouts, I suggest working out the big muscle groups; legs, triceps, abs, and back for strength, not just cardio for all around fitness.
For combat, I'd suggest looking at targetfocustraining.com if you need that, I could give my take on the compilation of various martial arts and modern (internet) combat systems out there and the point they all converge at.
Is there any specific area you'd like to start, like nutrition, certain body area, etc? I could brag about how many hundred + lbs my body can repeatedly sustain in any direction (except my arms suck) but that may be too lengthy an advice list.
