Newbie

I found this forum while researching HIIT. I look forward to learning a lot here. After years of neglecting my physical fitness, I resumed training in September 2007. Since then I've gone from 250 to 227 (still a very long way to go but at least my clothes fit better). :newbie:

At the beginning, the only real dietary changes were eliminating fast food and sodas (I gave up beer and cigarettes a few years ago). Since September, I have worked to increase my protein intake but haven't made a lot of other major changes (since I never had much of a sweet tooth anyway).

At the beginning, I only did standard cardio. That helped, but in November I started weight training. I now do weight training and HIIT. I feel better than ever. Even though I haven't lost any additional weight the last couple months, I am a lot stronger and I am beginning to see some definition.

Thank you for your kind welcome. I look forward to learning and contributing here (even if most of my contributions are of the comical variety).

Hi, Andy! Looks like your on the right track......Cutting out the soda and fast food is a great step! It really makes a difference!
