Hi All,
My name is Marie, 27 from Greater London, UK. I am getting married November 14th and looking to shed around 70lbs! Here for motivation and hopefully something to keep me going. I was at this point last year, weighing 224lbs and dropped down to 178lbs between June 2013-November 2013 just before my fiancé proposed, we went to Paris to celebrate which he had arranged and then it was Christmas and I just completely fell off the wagon, an injury along with starting a new job caused me to creep back up to my original 224lbs which was so disappointing. We then set our wedding date in February and although when I went to order my dress I said 'I am starting a diet on Monday and this will be falling off me by the time it comes in', roll on June and my dress is in, and I am the same weight I was when I tried it on (+ about 6lbs).
I finally decided, after yet another day out with a large group of friends where I almost cried seeing the pictures and asked I was cropped out of all the ones going on social media, I thought, I do not want to feel like this about my wedding photo's! So about 3 weeks ago I joined the gym again, downloaded My Fitness Pal and got my head in the right place! It has helped that this time round my other half is also trying to make the effort to eat better and support me more. So I have started going to the gym 6.30am before work 3 times a week, plus a BodyBlitz class which is a mix of CV and weights. So far in this past few weeks I am down 7lbs (mainly due to water retention and muscle from the gym probably) which is a good start. I have also started a photo log as I know from last time I find this the most motivating.
I am hoping for some advice on losing such a large amount of weight it a fairly short time frame, don't get me wrong, this is a lifestyle change and I want this to be it forever, however, I want to do as much work prior to the wedding as possible! I don't want to get there, then fall off the wagon again, I really want to make this my life now and become fit, strong and healthy. My goal weight is around 150lbs and I hope you will all be here to congratulate me when I get there!
