Hi, drop-it , male, 22 y.o.a, 6ft 1", 15 stone 20% bf!
Well now we got that out of the way!

unsure if this is a mainly american site so excuse me.

why am i here? well a few years ago (a levels) young free and single. i played rugby for my county, school and district and at the same time i had achived my black belt in Tae kwon do so as you can imagine, quite fit.

Then i finished a levels, got a job in retail (total crap hours!) and passed my driving test. got hit by an uninsured driver leaving me with a prolapsed disc and unable to train, which equals me gaining about 2 stone! (Jesussssss!)

Now some good news, i now have a better job with better working hours (flexi), my manager is well up on her fitness (marathon runner and this year!) so iam surrounded by encouragement to keep fit.

aims, to lose weight ideal would be 13.06 stone ( hope its not a pipe dream!) and build on what muscle i have. not to blow my trumpet, i am quite musclar in build but do carry most of my weight on my stomach / love handles.

anyway thats me sorry about the long intro, but the more you know the more you can help!

Thanks!

Wow! You have quite a story!! I have to say that I am 100% behind you and wish you the best on your journey. You seem to have a mind for fitness and health - and it is awesome to be surrounded by supportive co-workers! I mention weight loss and I get the big eyes and the "well I'm over 50 and I don't care what my body looks like even though I could stand to lose a few pounds" attitude. Ah well!

Though it doesn't sound like you need pointers from me, if you ever need any encouragement or help - let me know! Best of luck to you! :cheers2:

Welcome! The board isn't only American -- I've seen people from different countries in Europe, there are some from Australia too, and probably more countries that I've already forgotten.

Good luck and that's great that you have a supportive work environment.

cheers folks thanks for the welcome!

yeh im just fed up of the lazy attitude or being good all week then come the weekend, eat what i want. that was getting me no where fast.

p.s i should edit my first post as i was actually 15.03 i weighted this morning and iam now 14.11stone so perseverance pays off.

Congrats to you on the loss!! :) Perseverance DOES pay off - I can't wait for more results! Today makes the fourth day I have gotten back into a regular exercise routine and eating healthier - and I have to say I have already noticed a HUGE difference in my energy level at work. Putting truck up normally takes me a couple of hours because I feel so bogged down - now that I'm exercising...it only took me under an hour to mark and put everything in its place! I had energy ALL DAY! I cannot believe I ever just stopped doing this and I didn't even have a decent reason as you did (if that makes any sense at all)

WAY TO GO!!
