Hi all!
Im 35 and I have done the rollercoaster diet my entire life. My senior year in high school I weighed 191. I have never weighed that again. The closest I came was 210 at my 10 year reunion. I am 263 now.
It has always seemed to me that I always wanted to lose weight for an occasion or for a wedding. I always did ok but I would put the weight back on and then some.
After a lot of hard times this past year (wife with breast cancer) I realized that I have to change my body for the rest of my life for health reasons and to be a positive role model for my son.
I have done every diet! Weight watchers, Herbalife, Metabolic Reasearch, Slim Fast and Atkins. The only positive is that now I understand how weight loss really works. Small portions of the right foods 5 to 6 times a day with a ton of water. I have always eaten because of the taste and the fact that all gatherings were based around food or alcohol. The truth is that you should eat to survive and treat your body with respect.
I have started a commitment this 17 day of July 2008! I WILL change my life! I will make my son proud and I Will make myself proud! No more Beer, no more sweets! The right foods at the right time! My LIFE..Is more important than a damn bowl of ice ream or a cold Beer. HERE I GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
