NEWBIE- Trying to change

fat
chubby

what ever you want to call me... Gal who's on a mission to lose 100 pounds.


How many times have you heard "You could be so beautiful if you lost weight?"

Not "you're beautiful and you could lose weight for health reasons ." lol

Well I'm tired of my body type dictating who I am and what I do!

I am doing this for one reason- ME!

There has always been a hate-hate relationship with the rolls I bare.

Knowing that i am judged on the pounds I carry and not the personality I own.

I know ill never been thin, but I want to be proud of the skin I'm in.

It's time for me to grab hold of the life i want.

And it starts TODAY!

MY GOALS:

* To improve my health
* Gain self esteem
* Be more active(do things Ive alway wanted to but couldn't)
* Wear a size 16-18
* LOSE 100+ pounds

I'm hoping to maybe find some one in my area to work out with or just a go to buddy.

I know this isn't going to be easy but id love to here any input or suggestions any of you may have.

Hey girl! I am in the same boat as you. Same age, wanting to lose 100+,wanting to get down to a 16-18. You have made the right choice by coming here. While I am not living in your area, I would be more than glad to buddy up with you to lose the weight! Let me know!! :)
 
Congrats on making this decision. I am also in your shoes. I want to lose about 100 lbs. It feels daunting when you think of that number. I try not to keep that in my head and just take it a day at a time. I just keep counting the small numbers that that I lose and focus on that as being a good point. Hopefully one day all those small numbers will add up and I'll be at my goal before I know it.

Welcome here. I just want to say you CAN be thin! As some one who has lost 102 pounds, these are some quotes about me from other people.

"That little redhead" Random referrals by people who stay as a guest in the hotel I work in. I have never been referred to as a little anything lol

"Gosh..you're so tiny now" When my mother hugs me

YES i am on a low carb diet with plenty of exercise!


Meal Plan

Breakfast
one egg white
slice of cantaloupe
1/4 cup cottage cheese
6 oz soy milk


Mid moring snack- sugar free jell-o

Lunch
5 net carb multi grain flax seed wrap with turkey and a half slice of cheese
or
boca soy chicken or burger

String cheese
(some kind of fruit)

Mid afternoon

Cucumber slices
with oil and vinegar

Dinner

Purdue perfectly portioned chicken with a lemon mustard sauce & mushrooms
half of sweet potato
Steamed green beans!


Things are sometimes interchangeable

Like i have salads every other day and tons of other vegetables
 
I'm 21 years old as well and I'm trying to lose 20 pounds. I could never do a diet. I just try to limit the junk food I eat. I spin and lift weights about 4 times a week and I've noticed results in like 2 weeks. I know it's going to take longer than I want but I also enjoy the work outs I do. Good luck with your goal!!
