Newbie needs advice

Hello All,
I am new to bodybuilding and fitness. I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding recovery supplements. I am training 3 days a week at this point and am 35 years old. I have increased my protein intake, but would like some guidance regarding supplements I can take to speed up the recovery process. Thanks!:newbie:
 
You're better off eating real food to increase recovery. What you eat before and after training as well as when you wake up is especially important.

A proper warm up and cool down as well as stretching sessions and conditioning training will improve your recovery as well.

Also as you become more accustomed to training, your work capacity (the body's ability to train more often and with more intensity) will increase.

IMO supplements other than simple carbs for post workout and protein powder are a waste of money.
 
Welcome! I am 50 and the only supplement I take is a post-workout protein shake within 30 minutes of a workout.
