Hi Peeps!

Obviously i'm new here. I'm trying this because last October i was just under 200lbs and going down. (I'm 5'8") But then during a break up i sprained my ankle and have gain about 23lbs. It's been really hard for me not being able to run like i used to, that plus the emotional eating from having my heart broke made losing weight impossible for me.

But now i'm ready to move on and lose the weight. I have lost six pounds over the past 2 weeks but i'm losing motivation and craving junk food.

I believe this website can be a good support system, distraction and give me good ideas.

anyways hi!

Hi Lori!

I'm new here too so thought I'd say hello! I'm here to get help and support to reach my target weight, and feel happy and healthy! I've always struggled with my weight from being a child, and my 20s were deeply unhappy in parts, so I have made myself a promise, and that is to make my 30's the best decade of my life!! I'm gonna be around here quite a lot so if you find things tough hit me up and we can help each other out!

All the best!

Scotty

hehe yeah this site is good when those cravings hit...i just grab a glass of water with a lemon wedge and sit down to enjoy some inspiration^^

hey thanks you two!

last night went well. today for some reason i'm really craving cookie dough. I have no idea why but i am, i'm seriously two minutes away from throwing a quick batch of dough together.

how are other people doing tonight?

No no no no no!! :D I've had two healthy meals today, a dish of penne pasta with tomatoes, peppers and garlic served on a bed of spinach leaves for lunch, and a lean turkey sandwich followed by 2 oranges for my evening meal. I'm not hungry and and I'm not craving anything..............but its only day one!! :) Just fight the cravings.............they'll pass if you can make it!

omgosh i spent all last night ... around two in the morning hungry x.x i got into a fight with my boyfriend... and it was immediately a call for emotional eating... but guess what?! i fought those crazings. soo you can do it too^^ or maybe find a healthy substitute?

You two are so strong. I made it past last night but not this evening. I had a slight slip up but i'm not going to let it get me down. I know i can do better. The next 7 seven days i'm going to work on drinking water all the time and whenever i get a craving i'll eat fruit--hopefully enough sugar to help my cravings.

Hey Lori dont beat yourself up too bad because you slipped up, just remember Rome wasnt built in a day hun! Take it day by day. Good ideas with the water and fruit, but another good trick is to take a walk when you feel like snacking/eating outside your plan...................its amazing how you can leave the house soooooo hungry, and half hour walking and a glass of water later it passes! Try it if you can and let me know ;)

............and well done Angelica! Its hard sometimes but you gotta just think to yourself 'what do I want more?' keep it up gurl! :)

howdy.

Hi Lori,
Welcome to the site, I joined at the beginning of December last year and started my diet 2 week ago, I have lost 6 Ib and was buzzing yesterday until I hit a bad patch, my stomach was in turmoil, anyway I fought the cravings and today I have had a awesome day, so remember you can be strong to and fight the binge bug. Let me know when you get to 1 stone, maybe I might be there to, best of luck.

Thanks for the support people.

Is it bad i don't know what i stone is?

I had a bad weekend--not too many calories since i got sick from drinking too much and forgetting to eat dinner but i still know it wasn't a healthy weekend. This week has started out well so far. I've started going to the gym at 730ish instead of right after work at 5, it's a lot less busy. It also keeps me from eating a lot for dinner between work and workout.

14 pound.

Hi Lori,
1 stone = 14 pounds, I have to sit down this week and analyse 14 pounds in sugar at the dinner table, so that is one of my tasks this week, that way i can visualise my weight loss. Forget about the bad weekend you have done it now, get back on track girl. I am having a good week looking forward to my dinner today because I like to eat with a fork that way I dont pick up sandwiches, I am a sucker for bread.

Have a successful week
caroline
