Hey everyone, my name is Jay and I'm a current college student in Illinois. I'm 22 years old, around 6 foot, and weigh 340lbs. I'm on a mission to loose around 60lbs which would bring me to 280lbs. I would feel very comfortable at this weight so this is what I'm setting my goal at.
I started my workout plans/diet around 3 weeks ago and have already lost around 15lbs. I currently go to the gym 4 days a week and run on the elliptical trainer for about 20-25 minutes. I feel that I enjoy more of an intensity type of workout so I give it my all in that 20 minutes. What I usually do is sprint a .25 mile at about 9-9.5mph and then bring it down to about 7mph. I am determined to not let my speed fall under 6.5mph the entire workout. At the end of the 20 minutes I find myself at 2-2.25 miles overall.
I am currently taking some supplements/medications that were prescribed to me by my doctor. He gave me some sort of medication that diabetics use in order to control sugar throughout the body(not sure of the name off-hand). I am also taking 30mg of Adderal daily. I know that Adderal has some very bad side effects but I am willing to take the risk. I feel that it helps me stay motivated and also helps control my hunger.
My diet is not really a diet at all, more like starvation in some sense I feel like. I eat a granola bar in the morning with my medication, fruits such as apples, bananas, and peaches throughout the day, and a grilled chicken breast or some tuna for dinner. I drink about 8 water bottles a day and haven't drunken a soda in about a year.
I'm here to meet some new people that may be in the same situation that I am. I don't talk about my diet too much except to my family and close friends. I could use and would appreciate any advice or tips from anyone.
Well that's pretty much all about me!
