Newbie here

Hey there, I am new here. 20 years old 5'7 trying to get a lean/cut look.

My work out is
25-45 mins of cardio. anywhere from 200-450 cal burn on high intense.
then I do a little weights. arms, legs, I try to do 3 sets of 10 each, and then I work my abs. 3 sets of five on each angle. to work all my abs. on the crunch machine,

go to the gym 5 days a week.

The dieting is a bit confusing for me though I am not fat at all, I am actually about right for my height 150-155 just want that nice sexy lean look with visble abs. I drink only water. Been at it for 3 weeks now only noticed my abs seem to be showing a little now on the top but my waist line doesn't seem to have changed.

Am I doing this right or any other suggestions?

You should only work out 3 times a week to allow muscles to repair. What does your diet look like? All the ab work isn't necessary. You can't target set parts of your abs.

*edit* Btw. Welcome to the site mate. :)

My diet is,

Cereal in the morning, 2 bowls.
apple for snacks
med. sized hamburger for lunch
apple for snack again (or some other fruit like banana or an orange)
water only for drinks.
and then for dinner, it's either another hamburger or steak with salad, mashed potato and corn.
(isn't the same every night)

really need help with the dieting, as I am confused as to what I should and shouldn't be eating reading up on everything and everyone say's something else.

I also take those 1 a- day vits.

as far as only going 3 days a week, I am also trying to burn off that extra body fat so not sure if just going to 3 days would be best, or should I be going every other day, and on off day's just do like 20 mins of cardio? everything I read has a different opinion the honest truth is the people that run the gym aren't very helpful I been learning from watching and asking other people there and reading the signs on the machine to see what targets what.
