Hi,

I'm a young lady who's had weight issues all her life. I've been both bigger and smaller, but never an ideal weight. I really want to be fit and healthy since I'm starting to feel some of the effects of being overweight, from lack of stamina, sore knees etc,,,

I'm really hoping to get some support here. No one in my life is offering very much. I'm living in a house of unhealthy eaters and I feel very alone in my quest.

Thanks for reading,

-Kat

Hey Kat,
I have similar issues. I'm very over weight right now (about 10kg over weight)......I need to loose 20kg to be my usual weight. I put on a massive 20kg over the last few years, where I stayed a lot indoors, did minimal exersize, drank massive amounts and ate oily greasy sugary foods....Horrible stuff.

But now I'm serious about loosing this weight that I gained. Together we can do it, food does not need to be enemy, we just have to eat for the right reasons..... food cannot be your friend when you are upset, real people can. Food is to enjoy, but why eat food that is goin to clog your arteries in a few years?

Got a sweet tooth? have some yogurt or strawberries instead! Still want sugar? Have some low-low...Drink tea, ditch that starbucks...u dont need it. really dont need it. I've finally come to my senses, and realized...I controll food, food does not controll me. I want to be able to run and not get tired. I'm fecking sick of this shit. I WILL weigh what I used to be. I WILL workout more...I will make a change...

Nice to meet you. I'm 30-40 lbs overweight. I've got a long way to go, but I'm going to take it a little at a time with smaller goals.

My downfall is sugar. Ice cream, cake, pie etc.... :banghead:

Kat,
Congratulations on your commitment. Being around others that don't support the eating habits you want to follow can be a challenge so you may have to go it alone for awhile. As they see changes in you that may eventually have an influence in them and that may motivate you to keep going. You can do it. Try to make small changes daily that help to train yourself in the direction of health. :hurray:
