I'm a 37 yr old female with 4 kids under the age of 8. I need to loose about 25-30 lbs which have slowly crept up on me since having my kidlets.
I'm 5'3 and weigh 156lbs which has been a steady weight for me since the last 2 kids.
I've recently joined a gym and am committed to going 6 days a week, with one rest day. I really enjoy getting some "alone" time and I definately feel better for having worked out.
I'm also watching what I eat and trying to make better choices....like whole grains, more fruits/veggies, more lean protein, cutting sweets & sugars, etc...the usual stuff. I'm trying not to micromanage my diet because I know that a huge part of healthy weight loss is activity and I want to make sure I'm still eating "normal" food that I can share with my family.
The issue I'm having now is that I've been going daily to the gym (for the past 9 days), where I spend 30 minutes on cardio...doing combo run/walk (50/50) and then alternating a 45min-1 hour weight session with about 20-30 minute AB session. During all my workouts I work my buns off and definately give it 100%, however I've yet to loose 1 single pound!!!
I'm still motivated but it doesn't feel great when day after day, I'm exactly the same.
Anyway, I like reading about other peoples successes and any helpful advice is much appreciated!!

Finally!!! Despite coming down with a chest cold, I stayed committed and went to work out today, although I just stuck to my 30 minutes of cardio with combo power walk & rowing 2000M. I'll give my body an extra little bit of rest today and hopefully tomorrow will be better. It was hard on my chest to workout though.
