Just wanted to drop a line and say hi to everyone on the forums. My name is Larisa and I'm located in NJ. When I started on the road my healthier lifestyle a little over a year ago (at 25 years old), I weighed in at 169 (I'm 5'-2") and was completely out of shape. I'm down to 133 now, with a goal weight of 120. I've also gone from a tight size 14 to a loose size 5. I've changed my eating habits, trying to avoid processed foods and cooking for myself more often. I began playing soccer about 18 months ago, starting off with one night a week, about 40 minutes per night, and progressing up to 3 nights per week, about 2 hours per night. The gym is generally boring and far too expensive for me, and soccer is a cheaper way for me to stay in shape and make some friends while I'm at it!
Anyway, I'm in some of the best shape of my life now, and running circles around 20 year old girls. I still feel that I have work to do, but finding exercise that I enjoy doing was key to getting started! Good luck to everyone else out there!
