Newbie Here! Wanted to share my success story on the HCG Diet!

I am new to this forum. I joined because I wanted to share my experience on the HCG diet. I have tried so many diets. None worked as well as this one. I did weight watchers and I felt like I was deprived of food for the 6 months I was on it. I only lost 10 lbs on weight watchers in 6 months and I gained it all back! :(

I decided to try the HCG diet and I am so happy that I did. I went from a size 12 to a size 4 in 3 weeks. Yes, only 3 weeks. HCG not only helps you lose weight but it also helps you lose inches. After trying so many other diets that claimed to work I was very skeptic about HCG. But once I stepped on the scale each day and saw 1 to 2 lbs weight loss I was absolutely amazed!! That alone kept me motivated and it will for you too!!

HCG works by helping your body to release stored fat for energy. As a result of burning this excess fat, you can lose 1-2 pounds of fat per day. It helps reset metabolism and fat regulation so the body no longer is triggered into storing unneeded fat when you are off the diet.

I work in a FDA regulated company. I actually assisted with keeping us in compliance with the FDA regulations at my company. I did a lot of research on the different manufacturers of HCG and found that they are not all alike. I have posted the site of the company I bought from at the bottom of this post. They are an FDA inspected and GMP approved. I am in no means trying to spam here as I am not gaining anything from this company. I just feel that if anyone does decide to try HCG that they need to go to a reputable manufacturer.

I know so many people put HCG down, but it is funny how these people are the ones who have never tried or experienced the weight loss for themselves. How can anyone who has never done the diet offer advice?

I have been off the HCG diet for almost a year now and I have NOT gained any of the weight back. I have never felt better in my life.

HCG is a miracle. Why not try it yourself and post your success story for others to read.

Pretty much what I've said about this fad from the start. People keep thinking the HCG has something to do with it.

In fact, for those who don't want to actually go to the link..

HCG diet: Is it safe and effective?

Does the HCG diet work — and is it safe?

Answer

from Jennifer K. Nelson, R.D., L.D.

Because the HCG diet combines injections or supplements of the HCG hormone along with severe calorie restriction, you may lose weight — at least for the short term. But it's the calorie restriction that causes the weight loss, not the HCG. In addition, the safety of HCG for weight loss is uncertain, and the hormone hasn't been approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a treatment for obesity or weight control.

HCG is human chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone produced during pregnancy. As a prescription medication, HCG is used mainly to treat fertility issues.

Proponents of the HCG diet say that HCG can help you lose weight, burn fat and redistribute fat away from your buttocks and stomach. On the HCG diet, you either receive injections of HCG or take HCG supplements. The HCG diet also requires you to drastically cut your calorie intake, typically consuming just 500 to 800 calories a day — about one-fourth to one-half of the standard calorie recommendations. The HCG diet is typically offered through weight-loss clinics that say they will provide medical supervision.

Although researchers have studied the HCG diet for years, no high-quality studies have shown that the hormone itself helps weight loss. Following any very low calorie diet is likely to result in weight loss, regardless of taking HCG. And the HCG diet can have drawbacks. Severe calorie restriction can make it hard to meet all of your nutritional needs. And rapid weight loss can lead to gallstones. Also, HCG can cause side effects, including headache, fatigue, irritability and male breast enlargement. And be careful about buying HCG products on the Internet — they might not be what they say they are.

Once you stop the HCG diet, you're likely to regain any weight you lost. The key to permanent weight loss is developing healthy eating and exercise habits — not following fad diets.

The fact that I've had to remove a HCG company's website from your post instantly makes you suspect as advertising rather than being objective.

Oh, and you work for an FDA regulated company but you fail to mention how HCG is not FDA approved in the least? See...you put that there as a misleading statement. People see FDA and forget to read deeper.

you are talking to a mod who has been doing this for a few years now looking for spammers and honestly? I think that is exactly what you are. You use too many hype words. Miracle. 'I'm not trying to spam..honest!', and things like that.

I'm leaving this up at the moment less about believing your story and more about warning people wanting to do this.

I am not a spammer! Was only trying to make sure people brought from a honest company. I have absolutely nothing to gain by sharing my story. And yes, I do work in the medical field (medical device manufacturer)! And yes, FDA has approved HCG but not as a diet aid. However, that does not mean that HCG does not work as a diet add! HCG is not sold as a prescription drug. That is why you can buy it on the internet and in HEALTH FOOD stores. Many of us at my company have done this diet. Some have gotten the drops from their homeopathic doctors.

I have read your posts on this subject and realize you are not a fan of the diet. But I don't understand how you can give advise to people without having done the diet. There are always going to be articles showing something is bad for you and there are going to be articles showing success. However, you choose to share only the ones showing all the negative when you youself have no facts on that because you have not done the diet.

Anyway, enough said!

Enjoy your day hun!

Uhm....do I have to jump off a bridge to be able to tell people that it'll hurt if they do it? Do I have to slit my wrists to advise people that it might kill them if they try?

You don't have to do something to be able to look at facts and draw logical conclusions.

Alright. Let's remove the idea that you are not a spammer outside of advertising for a company. Let's assume your only goal is helping people not buy this crap from a false company. Removing all of that, my goal is to inform people NOT to buy it at all.

Let's start with the fact the FDA approved HCG but not for a diet aid. I think that fact is pretty important since we are talking about it AS A DIET AID. This is akin to me saying aspirin can be used for weight loss just because the FDA approved it for headaches.

Second, if many others do it doesn't make it effective or safe. Detox dieting is popular even through the science disproves it and medical community is against it. HCG has yet to be proven in a proper medical study as a aid for weight loss. the 500 calorie a day you have to do for this diet HAS been proven since it is calories in < calories out (and any low calorie diet should always be under a doctor's care which kinda goes against the buy it yourself mentality.)

Third, you might not have noticed where I got the article that I posted. It's not just some article..it's from the Mayo Clinic. Pretty sure they know what they are talking about over most of your 'success stories' because they know that it is the 500 calorie a day part..not the HCG..that causes the weight loss.

Understood Jericho! I do understand where you are coming from. I guess my enthusiasm about the fact it did work (and I truly did not believe it would), whether it was the hcg drops with the 500 calorie diet or just the 500 calorie diet made me want to share it with people. Losing weight is very hard and I found this so easy. I usually wouldn't suggest that people to do a quick fix. However, I have never seen something work so fast and the fact that I haven't gain a pound in almost over a year made me believe it truly was a miracle.

After I did the diet all my coworkers started doing it. SOME had the same results, but not all. When I spoke to the ones who didn't have similar results they stated that they just didn't have the discipline to maintain the low calorie diet and ate things they shouldn't. I understand there is not one diet that fits all. When I did the diet I followed the protocol to the T.

Anyways, really sorry I got off to a bad start here. I will try to stay within the rules of the forums.

Have a great day!!

There is no possible way that dropping that much weight and that many inches in three weeks is healthy. There is no replacement for a healthy balanced diet. They second you got off the "diet", you will gain every ounce of it back, and probably more. Thats how the body works.
