Hi. Let me introduce myself. My name is Michele. I'm 19, and basically, I'm here to get some advice and see what others are doing that works. I'm willing to try new things with workouts and "diets" (the ugly word), but I must warn you, I'm still in college living on campus, so I'm quite limited in the whole variety thing.
For the past 2-3 days, I have actually changed my diet dramatically. In the morning (I used to skip breakfast), I eat scrambled eggs with yogurt and granola. For lunch, I grab a soup or sometimes salad (once again, I used to skip this meal), and for dinner, it usually varies depending on what kinds of bad oncampus food there is (this one is the hardest since it's usually junk food but I try to find what's best for the diet). Then after dinner around 9PM, when all is said and done, I do 45 min. of elliptical or cross trainer work. (Reminder: This is the new me, not old me)
Here are things for the whole diet and exercise thing I hate/love/miss:
I absolutely love the cardio machines like ellipticals or crosstrainer.
I hate the dreaded treadmills and weight training.
My iPod<3 is my companion in my workouts.
I hate, hate, hate salads.
I am a choco-holic and I miss it so much.
Goal: Just get in shape for the summer. Lose some flab as well as gain some cardiovascular endurance, so maybe I can conquer the treadmill once and for all. 120lbs is just an estimate. Once I get to the point of what I'm happy with, I'll settle. I'm really not looking to "lose weight" but to gain confidence and self-esteem through feeling better about myself.
So, basically that is me, and if you have any advice, sock it to me.
