Hi everyone!!!
I'm new to the boards!!
As of this time, I wish to remain anonymous, but I will tell you that I'm female, a student, between 21-25 years old. (I hate to do that, but I've had a bad experience on another forum recently - which is the reason I went looking for a new one - so, just until I'm comfortable with my surroundings, you can call me whatever you want! Haha)
Anyways, I currently weigh around 270 lbs., (don't know the EXACT as our bathroom scale is wonky at times). I'm 5'10, and definitely big boned - no excuse though! Haha.
I've tried dieting and all that jazz before, and have failed miserably, and today, something inside me just snapped - maybe it was the fact that I looked at pictures of myself from a few years ago, and I actually looked healthy!! Either way, today is the first day of a new me!!
I'm going to be going at it the old fashioned way - plain old eating right and exercising, with plenty of water and walking.
Here is my "plan" that I'm working on:
-I have bookmarked quite a few cardio videos from you tube, that are approximately 10 minutes long each, and I plan on doing at least 3 a day - for a 30 minute workout a day.
-I have a dog, who needs her walks, so perfect timing to get the two of us healthy!
-Also, for something fun, and to motivate me further down the line when I'm completely sick and tired of all of this, I'm going to take a digital picture of myself a day, so that many weeks/months into this, I can see some process.
-As far as the healthy eating, I do need some help on that, so I'll be asking in different topic areas here on the board.
I know it will be hard, and difficult, and some days I'll cave in, and some days I'll be amazing, but I'm totally ready to make this committment. Which is why I've come to the boards - for the support I need, that I can't get from my "skinny" friends (for some reason, they just can't fully understand. Hm. I wonder why. Haha)
Whew, this has been a long introduction! But I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!!!
