Hello folks, I just joined today and wanted to get connected to people like y'all for support and information. What do ya'll do for support?

I am having trouble getting started because I am sooo tired all the time, and I don't want to be seen in public as I don't want to run into anyone I know as I've gained a lot of weight in the last 7 years. I stay home and avoid going out at all costs. It's a bit of a rut but I am ready for a change.

I currently weigh 225 lbs, am 5'2" tall and was weighing as much as 235 lbs so I've lost a little bit of weight. I think the problem for me is that I am so sedentary that I gain weight slowly due to lack of energy being outputted. It takes very little food to gain weight.

Well, thanks for listening, see y'all around!

Welcome to the Forum. this place is a great means of support and motivation for me. I have been here a little over 4 months and this place has been great. I would suggest reading the sticky tabs and maybe some people diaries to find out what they have been doing to lose weight. anyways, welcome and good luck on your goals.

Hello and welcome.

What kind of equipment do you have at home? The more active you get the more energy you have. You will feel great too. I suggest going outside though, it's not healthy to stay indoors all the time.

Good luck to you.

Hi! This place is great for support. Just take a peak at some of the other post & you will see you are in no way alone in your goals.

I suggest getting involved in a challenge to help you meet people & get you motivated. Most want you to workout a set number of days, but the activity is your choice.

I sympathize with the need to workout indoors. I worry too much about what other people think when I go out so I get that you want something you can be inside doing. I'm trying to get creative myself. I have a treadmill so that helps, but it gets old. I just got an inflatable punching bag I hope to get blown up for something different. Then again the good old DVDs come in handy. I have one of those small trampolines that I used to march in place on while watching TV before I broke down & got the treadmill. All else fails close the curtains, lock the door, crank up the radio & dance yourself silly.

Good luck & glad you found this site.

It has helped me beyond belief in staying motivated in those times you want to just say forget it, I'm hopeless. Made me realize I am not alone on this journey.
