I have joined this forum for psychological reasons - it must show I am serious about losing weight.
I have been overweight really since the day I married!
I can only blame it on myselfof course - but then married life does rather seem to encourage it.
I am 46, 6 feet 2, and was 92 KG - in my youth my prime weight was 75 KG, though I would never expect to get down to that again. My target is basically a flat belly - and that could mean a weight of about 80 KG or so.
I am about 4 weeks into my latest attempt to get down to that weight - and am down to about 87 KG.
I am doing quite well - not eating between meals - not eating from anyone else's plate! Putting smaller portions out for myself, choosing the smallest cake if we stop off at a tea room - it all helps.
What I fear though, is failing again somehow - or relapsing.
But anyway I feel better already - taking a shower is a pleasure, as my belly is smaller, and I do find having a beer gut, a horrible experience.
Well that's about it for now - all the best
