Hi everyone! I just signed up for this forum to learn a bit more about working out etc..
Anyway, I was what is popularly referred to as "skinny-fat". I started off at 124lbs, 34" waist and eating up to 2500-3500 calories a day. I never worked out and was extremely sedentary.
I just got tired of having to keep throwing out clothes, being out of breath and looking like crap. I started out easy with the C25K and I have worked my way up to 41:00 5K's...not too bad.
I've basically done this all on my own, no gym...so any suggestions are helpful.
Thanks for having me and hope to get to know awesome peeps! :cheers2:

Hi Catshark,
I think I'm having a brain fart. What you mean is that you are/were 124lbs but have/had a high body fat percentage?

PS- are you named after an actual catshark (or "dogfish)? I think they are so pretty. They lay cool looking eggs too.

Welcome to the forum. You live in a beautiful part of the country. Forests/Hills and clear beaches. Perfect for running outside.
