I took the past year off from exercising and have just started back at the beginning of the year. I'm in 2 Biggest Loser contests and have joined the local Lifetime Fitness which is only 4 blocks away!! I started out at 217.6 and I'm currently around 204. So far so good.
I did the Biggest Loser contest with a friend 2 years ago and got down to 178 in less time, without a gym membership, so I'm hoping I can beat that by April 30th (our final weigh in). This year there are 4 friends competing and rather than money being on the line, the 2 who lose the least % of weight must suffer some public humiliation. I've found that this greatly motivates me! But ultimately my goal is to continue this lifestyle once the contests are over.
I'll be here often browsing and asking questions as they come up.
