Hi everyone My name is Liz and I just thought It would help if I joined a forum with people that understood the issues of weight. I have struggled with my weight for several years now and recently lost 70 lbs all on my own....But hate to say that it is coming back....I gained 20 of it back and am terrified!!! Anyways once again :newbie: HELLO to all!

from another newbee:)

It's woderful that you're not hiding behind denial, but actually want to do something about it! I've been yo-yo-dieting for half my life, and know how that feels! Don't give up! You know you can do it, because you've done it before, right? Just try to go back to your original weightloss program and you'll be fine! Cheering for you!: :jump: :jump: :hug2:

Thanks, It is hard...when I got married almost 6 yrs ago, I was 180...still overweight for 5'5 but not that bad....IN MY EES at least....then I went to 270....Got dumped by my ex husband....WOW!.....I lost weight then gained it back...And its frustrating....I was a size 24W and went to a size 11...now im a 14/16 depending on the brand.....I remember being happy loosing weight and now it like I tend to east my cravings to stay happy....Does that make any sense?

oh, yeah!

About your husband: it was a good thing he ended it: what a jerk! consider yourself lucky: you are beautiful, young and single: and he's to blame partially:))
I've been up and down, too. my ex-boyfriend used to call my fat when I was at 167lbs... After two years of emotonal abuse, I ended it, but became bulimic... I got down to 118 but looked terrible!! then i met my current boyfriend, who's totally supportive and doesn't care how much i weight, but he told me i had to stop with the throwing up. i did and gained back about 35 lbs. But then i discovered running. It works for me, but sometimes it's just easier to stay in front of the tv, you know?

Ah...Throwing up, yes I have done that in the past....Not many times but around a total of 5 maybe. When i got on my diet I was good for about 6 months, then my X-mas came around and slapped me in the face!....lol...So after a good night of eating...I felt so guilty and ashamed...scared i was going to gain back all the weight that I had lost I made myself throw it up.....Then it became too easy to do it...Not good....Like i said I did it 5 times or so, but still think its addictive...

As for my ex.....so GONE...he has not even seen our son in 2 1/2 yrs...THANK GOD!

you're right, it is both addictive and soooooooooooooooo easy!!! i thought it was a woman's thing, but a week ago i found out one of my guy friends is doing it, too. scary. i never want to go to that place again, but i aslo know it's only one step away....
gotta go, cause i'm falling asleep, but keep in touch:)
ps: HAPPY B-DAY:) :) :) :)
