New Year, New Thread for Those who Weigh 200 lbs/90 Kg or More

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I've not been around. Hope everyone is doing well.

Okay, so right now I'm at 245.5. I honestly dont know what's up with me. I think it's some emotional crap that's holding me back.

But now I've got more motivaton. I had a long talk with my boyfriend and did some self reflecting. I've realized that althought I'd like to blame others, it's me who's holding myself back.

I'm still super determined to get down to 175 by May. I should be starting school soon, so that will make it easier for me to find time to go to the gym for I'll already be in town. Oh, Please let this be the time I actually stick with something...

Veronica

Hey veronica welcome back hun

I love blaming others, its ALWAYS someone else, its "oh its annies birthday i HAD to go out" or "We went for lunch and they were all having dessert..." MEH i could write a book on excuses

You will stick with it hun i know ya will, its easy to fall of the wagon ive done it about 3 times the last 4 months, the fact you jumped back on shows you really want it

Good luck hun

Veronica,
Use that determination to make some good habits. You can do this. You might want to start with some small goals. Instead of wanting 175 by may, why dont you try for 4 lbs in the next two weeks. Sure 175 in a great goal but it's fun to make those small goals along the way. I know you said you are starting school soon so make a small goal reash it and reward yourself with something nice for the start of school, like an outfit, hairstyle or small jewelry.

Keep at it. It is so worth it.

Matt

I've just started a new program and lost 10 lbs. in the first week (wow I feel like a bad commercial) but the little goal at the end of this week was an incentive.

I was going to get a pedicure for the first time in my life but decided that the sand volleyball I'm about to take up might fudge my polish.

Keep it up, everyone. I will have before and after pictures in 2 months. I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours. :smilielol5:

Welcome back Veronica! I'm sorry about what happened, but you will bounce back. I'm currently sick so I have no appetite at all. I also started school and I have one afternoon class on tuesday for the fall semester. I'm still trying to figure out my times so I can go back and workout again. I lost all the 8 lbs I gained the whole summer :D and to Princess LOli I will be in ya leval! haha

I forgot the name, but the one who lost 10 lbs in 1 week, that doesn't sound too good xD It's not very healthy, but make sure you are eating right! We don't want anyone in here getting ill, because of dieting now! :) Love you guys

I started off at 256.6 in early July and just weighed in at 234.6 (September 1st).

That's 22 pounds GONE.

When I first started this journey the amount of weight I had to lose seemed very intimidating. So far, though, I must be doing something right because the loss has been steady and at a reasonable pace (I think).

Can't wait to get out of the 200s.

txsqlchick,
Great work. Keep it up!!!!:hurray:

I agree, sometimes that overall goal can be very intimadating and seem so far away. I like how you said you cant wait till you get below 200. That is a nice goal and you will be there before you know it.

I messed up earlier on the scale; when I wiped off my glasses and weighed again I was 233.6, not 234.6....so I'm already one pound closer to getting out of the 200s!

My ultimate goal is to get into the 130s, and my long-term goal is the 150s in 2009...but I want out of the 200s by the end of the year. I think it's doable!

Newbie here. Before giving birth, I'm at 125 lbs. After giving birth I weighed a whooping 165 lbs. Then after some diet and BIG motivation, I lost 20 lbs at stayed there for more or less 5 years. Now i'm doing some cruches and situps to minimize my tummy. Looking forward in weighing 125 lbs again... Or even less :)

Hello. My name is Eddy. I am a male, 43 years old coming up in October. I've been at about 250 lbs. for a couple of years now. A couple of months ago I had enough of feeling like crap, so I joined a local gym. I remember a decade ago I got on this real good diet plan and got down to about 180 lbs. That's my goal now, even though I can't remember the diet I was on (I do remember checking in for some weekly vitamin shots). Anyways, I really haven't changed my eating habits, as of yet, though I am eating smaller portions. I want to firmly establish my routine in the gym, and have been successfully going every day for about 2 months now. I don't spend too much time in there...mainly going in an hour before it closes so I can get to all the machines without waiting around. I feel, and am educated enough, to know that exercise plus a healthy eating plan is the key to losing weight. Just pray that I can keep this up guys and gals!
