Welcome Sharoo :D I see you are on your way to crossing out of the 200's and into Onderland:cheers2: too cool. They say it is best to lose weight slowly. Depending on the diet that you are on, it is possible to see a greater loss in the first month because of the loss of water weight. Do not worry, just keep doing what you are doing and even if it is coming off slowly, it is still coming off so it is something to be happy about. Sometimes I think...If I stuck to weight loss all of the times I said I would I would have been so slim by now, so even if the weight is coming off slow now, I am not stopping or getting discouraged. In the future I know I will thank myself for sticking through this.:hurray: So happy to having you with us. You will like it here, its a pretty neat bunch :D Sorry for the late reply BTW! I have not been online for a few days.

Does anyone here have to deal with migraines? OMG they are evil!!! If you believe in the devil....trust me they are from him/her! I have been having my first one since Thursday...well not my first one, but my first one with a headache. I even went to the doctor because it is not like a headache but a sharp intense pain in one area...I mean soooooo intense I thought a vein or something was on the verge of bursting. Before I was having what is called acephalgic migraine which is where I cannot see really because of these flashing light type things...they call them auras, specifically scintillating scotoma. I did not even know that this was a migraine because there was no pain. I have been having it on occasion for years now, but thought it was just some freaky vision thing that no one could explain because my sugar levels are fine and my eyes are in "perfect health." So sorry if i have been away, I have been fighting the forces of EVIIIILLLLL.

About the slim part Pink Clouds, sometimes I wonder if my mother and sisters and I had stayed living in NYC, would I have kept the weight off? Its just one of those things I was wondering to myself last night lol how odd... I probably would have stayed thin. My father is shocked at how much I weigh, but soon enough I will be thinner and have a great figure. I used to be stick thin ...

and as far as the migraines. I used to get them all the time. I used to put a face cloth on my forehead and just try to lye down and chill ...

could they be stress head aches?

In fitness magazine a couple of months ago they did a story on 10 things you need to know after weight loss.

I'm pretty sure the number one was that it doesn't solve all your problems.

It could well be that now that she's at goal, a lot of her life is still the same and she's unhappy with that. Or, it could be that she got used to the attention she received from people during weight loss and now that attention has died down, so she's jealous of the people who are getting it now. If that one's true, I sure wouldn't want to be around her after a wedding or pregnancy.

Great job on the weight loss, btw!!

(And that frame of thought weirds me out. When I can shop for clothes anywhere, the rest of the world will be eclipsed by my happiness, at least until I realize I still can't afford them...):waving:

Actually you just reminded me hun, not all my problems will be solved by becoming thinner. I keep thinking thinner will solve all my problems, but I guess it won't hmm.. I wish it did lol but I have a lot of issues ...

and as far as that woman ..could be...

How are you Spartacus?

I crossed over into the 200's when I was pregnant with my second child, who is now 25 years old! I got down into One-derLand (what a great name!) for a few years in the middle, but by the mid-90's I was back over 200. My highest weight was in 2001, I think, when I hit 262. Since then it's been up and down, but gradually trending down. Generally I lose in the summer but gain some back in the winter. :-(

This spring I started at 228, and lost 10 pounds in the month of April. I was pretty excited, but May hasn't gone so good. I've been bouncing around between 216 and 218 for the last 3 weeks. Discouraging.

What do you guys think about plateaus? Do most of you lose slowly but steadily, or is that just a myth? Even when I'm following my diet faithfully, I can go for 6 weeks without losing anything, then suddenly lose 3-5 pounds in a week. This isn't just the rare occurrence - it's my usual pattern of weight loss. Does this happen to other people or is it just me?

Plateaus suck! I can totally understand. They will become more prevailant the lower you go ... thats what I have heard, but dont lost hope, just keep trecking ...maybe change up your routine... increase your exercise ...

good luck hun and Welcome!

nat!! It's great to see you back!

I'm mostly the same, just jogging (I know about that back thing...I keep trying to blame it on packing and lugging boxes around but I know what it's really from) and trying not to gain weight.

I mean lose weight. whoops!!

Some pants finally got loose! Yay!

I've lost 15 pounds and there has been no noticeable difference in my body. Where the heck did it come from? My brain?

Really, here is my guess. When I'm not losing weight (as in overall), my body compacts itself. Even the fat is less wiggly. As I start to get in weight losing mode, though, I'm super dooper wiggly! I think that's why the weight loss and measurements don't always jive. Does this happen to anyone else.

Because if it does, we need to celebrate our wiggliness!!

:cheers2::hurray::cheers2:

Oh, maybe those beers will make it go away...

Oyyy my father told me I used to be pretty when I was slimmer:rolleyes:...I think he thought that would motivate me somehow LOL I just told him I am pretty now even if he does not think so :p I was tempted to tell him he is not so much of a prize himself just to upset him:D, but you know I respect the man, he is my dad and I love him so much...and he is good looking in his own way :p

About the migraines, the doctor said that it behaves like a migraine because of the other things like sensitivity to light, etc. Its in an unusual place for a migraine, but I know that I am wired a bit differently from the normal person...hence my craziness. My blood pressure always runs a bit low which shocked them...I guess they think every sensually thick and fluffy person has high blood pressure ;) It could be stress induced because I have been working like mad and not sleeping so much. But it really sucks because this is a long weekend for me and I cannot do much really...even the meds are not helping so much. Like even if they stop the pain for some time I still feel the pressure and light sensitivity. I am still happy for the rest and time off from work though.

Veronica....how did it go? Do tell :D I hope you enjoyed yourself.

Kevi, nice to hear about your crush:) Do you speak Nihong too or no?

Tamawalt CONGRATULATIONS on losing 2 more pounds!!! Totally awesome!

Hope how are you doing? :)

Spartacus I have heard about that wiggly thing during weight loss mode...I have not had the pleasure of experiencing that as of yet because I have not lost so much weight......yet.

Hey Everyone!

My date with Sean went really well. We both were a bit nervous at first, but was able to loosen up and got to know tons about him. He asked me to call him later, but I told him to call me. I'm super horrible about calling people. I'm always afraid I'm going to catch them at a bad time. Heck, if he doesn't call me by later tonight, then I am going to just give him a call back.

So, we watched movies, went out to eat at this really nice resturant. When we got there, in my head I was like... He's taking me here to eat? LoL.

I just had a really great time. Oh, I hope this works out between me and him. I mean, from what I got to know of him, I really like. =)

Hey all :D:D

Oh that comment pink! I heard the same words from my mothers mouth...you used to be sooo cute and now you look so old....nice! She was trying to make me see sense i think and has since admitted that she has been worried sick abt my weight for a while. However, last week she greeted my with "Oh my god you've lost a chin!!" which i think was a compliment - but a very back handed one! Ahhh the mama always speaks her mind!:willy_nilly:

Hope everyone is doing great :D

I had weight problems ever since I can remember. I was over 200lbs at the age of 14. Nothing i tried worked and I was always so frusterated with everyone, the stares people gave me, the comments people made, people would look at me and say "Just eat less food," but nobody seems to understand exactly what it takes to lose weight. I was so desperate i would work through the week minimum wage just so i could buy another weight loss product that was supposedly guaranteed to lose weight, but few of them work and the ones that do don't work as well as they say. I was about to give up on trying to lose weight and just accept it but then i found this. "Weight loss for idiots" it sounds stupid and childish but it honestly did help me and unlike the other products i've used in the past the guaranteed weight loss was reasonable. I lost 9lbs in 2 weeks and 20lbs more in the next month. I'm now 17 6"1 160lbs and I don't look back on this product. If you want to know more about it I highly recommend it for anyone with weight problems as serious as mine were.

Haha, too bad for me she's leaving tomorrow!
Pink I can understand and speak a little lol. I'm close on being a quadringual or something like that.

We ARE famous :D

Wow, I suppose this happens alot. I know that's how my Step-Grandma is with my mom and I. There was one day she told my mom, "Oh, I like that shirt... it hides your fat." However, my mom doesn't use her words for motivation... she just gets upset and hopes the lady gets run over. :auto:

I however, do use what she says as motivation. I haven't seen her in awhile and have lost weight, so I know she will be like, "Veronica, you've lost weight. Now you are pretty enough to find a boyfriend." LoL. She always tells me that. "If you get skinny you'll have a boyfriend." You see, my Step-Grandma speaks her mind too like your mom Allie. Just she tries to sugar coat it by saying something nice before she says what she really thinks. "U look so pretty V, if you were skinny you'd be beautiful.."
