New Year, New Thread for Those who Weigh 200 lbs/90 Kg or More

Hey All,

I'm a :newbie: newbie to the forums and was told about this thread by nataliejo.

I'm originally from Nor Cal and now reside in Arizona. I have been overweight for a majority of my life. I was a skinny kid, then a chubby pre-teen(5'5 and 165 lbs in 6th grade... I think), then in 8th grade I was 5'7 225, and it was all downhill since then.

I just turned 22, 5'9 in height, currently weight 245, and wear an XL in shirts and an 18 in pants (I put what size clothes I wear so that you can get a visual of what I look like since my pic is a head shot). In high school my max weight was 260 and just a couple years ago I was at 215 (the lowest I've been since 8th grade).

Lately I have been watching my calorie intake. I put myself on a 1750 calorie diet, have been eating more small healthy meals and wait 20 minutes before I dive in for 2nds so that my tummy can regester if it's full or not, and whenever I feel the need to feed, I grab me some fresh raw vegetables to snack on.

Oh and I have been adding exercise into the mix... to be honest, I'm trying ease my way into exercising and have just been working out to the 'Sweating to the Oldies' video tape I found in our house. After which, I'll start adding some other exercise routines.

Am I headed on the right track towards achieving my goal? I hope so.

I think this thread is just the thing I need to help keep me motivated and determined to reach my first goal of 193 lbs by August (I hope).

Pink! I'll be next hehe. I'm gonna try my best this coming week to take off this last 7 lbs. I weighed myself earlier since this tuesday and I tallied in at 207.XX and tuesday was 211.xx :)
I still don't know how it'd be when I weigh myself on that old school weighing scale at the gym. I'm gonna confirm it tomorrow :)

My scale is taunting me, it seems to think that 240 is the magical number that i should love all this week. ( which is nice since it's another 2lb drop) my weight in for the contest thred is tues/wednesday, we shall see if i can't make it to 239.

Progress people, it loves this thread ^ ^
 
hi im new to this site and this forum seems just the right one for me. i weighed 124 when i started dieting and currently weigh 215 so im really pleased but im aiming for 140 so thought id look for sum like minded people. good luck all and heres to a great slimmer summer for all of us :seeya:

Ladyumbra!!!!! How are you? :rant: at being in the 240's still, but :D to being out soon. I am still in the 270's but I refuse to weigh myself for 2 more weeks. I have been having some health probs, and whenever i do eat, sadly I have not been eating so well....more like a :piggy: But I am not giving up...I was looking at myself yesterday, and was not pleased with my fatness. I am going to give it all I got this time and really try my best. I have never really done that before, but I think its rather important now. Here's to sticking with it :cheers2:....I drink more in this forum than I do in real life LOL

What a wonderful thing to wake up this morning and see all of the messages of support and congrats, especially the 'party' thrown in my honor :hurray:

You guys are absolutely wonderful and I can't wait to spend the next 50 pounds (or more) hanging with the best people in the whole forum!

I gotta figure out what I want to do to celebrate, I want it to be something that is memorable and lasts but as a starter I went to the mall last night and for the first time in a decade, walked into a 'normal' store and bought an XL t-shirt. I was in awe the entire time - it is extremely foreign to me to walk into a store, like anyone else, see something I like and just get it!! What a feeling ~ that alone will keep me going for a while.

Keep working Kevi - you will get there soon, I know it!

Hey, anyone here mind sharing their "schedule" I really need help on my "schedule. I need to do school and stuff as priorities, but I'm not good at making time for working out.

Here's mine:
Monday and Wednesday: I go to school get home and stay home for 1:30-2 hrs and go to community college(Dual enrollment) I get out before 7:30 sometimes and the YMCA is only 5 minute drive. I'm planning on going straight there after school.

Tuesday and Thursday: I usually play basketball, but no running.

Friday and Sunday: I usually stay home or play basketball sometimes

Saturday: Play full court basketball and after i'll be too exhausted to do anything so yeah.

I just need a little help to fill out my schedule and need more motivation. Sunday for me is very open pretty much. I just need the will power to do things.
 
Kev nothing wrong with having sunday free your body does need a break.

* waves to pink* TY, oh man my brithday party is next weekened i know i'm screwed for my weigh in then, it's a weekend long affair and i know i can't help but eat bad. * on the bright side i can finally get outside for walks again ^-^.

Everyone is doing so well on their weight loss. I have gained weight. Been depressed and binging on everything, literally everything in site. Tried rereading My food addict, but can't make the words stick ... I just seem to be whirling around in place and can't seem to stop, just spiraling down. Tonight my mother and I are going out to eat. I promise I will eat well, just need to make sure I don't binge tonight. It will be hard to keep myself away from the kitchen and fridge, but I can do it!!!

Birthday is march 4th ^-^ no thread party required but i'll take one anyway.

whoot today looks great so far. aprox 65 mins of cardio ands 30 mins of resistance( should have been an hour but i have this deep lack of love for my weights). not even 2pm and I'm still raring to go.

So i'm pretty new to the forums and when i heard about this club i knew i had to come on and say hello and become part of it, if you all don't mind a newbie crashing your parties lol.

In the past year i have gained 60 lbs, and at my highest weighed in at 220lbs which i when i decided something had to be done. I am currently about 215 so all that has gone is water weight im guessing, but nevertheless im still dedicated.

I wanna get under 200 soooo bad so im hoping you guys will give me the push i need :)

Okay, so I seen that most of you have a diary, therefore I decided to make one for myself. It's called The Diary of V and I got a couple of pictures on it of myself and how I look now if you all wanna check them out.

Anyway, I have a question.

I found my mom's "Sweatin to the Oldies" tape with Richard Simmons and I've been working out to it the last couple of days. Is that a good beginning video for me to start off with? Does anyone else use these videos? Or am I like the only one? Because I've just ordered the whole set on DvD the other day for like 30 bucks. :willy_nilly:
