Kevi: Hey hey!

I'm glad to see how supportive everybody is here, too. I was attacked and had my throat ripped out on a different forum a long time ago. It was hard to heal... :nopity:

But really, this is the most supportive place ever. It's like the Spanx of the internet. Huuray!

:nopity: +5lbs <---note the smallness of this text

Well I did expect it...I reintroduced salt to my diet and when i was not feeling well for the past few weeks I was eating whatever was first available.
:svengo: OH THE SHAAAAAAME:svengo:OHHH THE COTTON!:svengo:

Just kidding LOL I think it will be off by next week :p

Ok off to read all the posts and reply :D

one thing Ive learned in the last few months is don't sweat the small stuff and dont beat yourself up if you dont lose any weight for a few weeks, I often have to take a step back and look at the big picture, of how much Ive lost, and how much I have to lose to get to my goal

Yes Bubbles, :iagree: It is so easy to get frustrated in this journey and it is so important to take the time and reflect. Even in everyday life aside from weight loss, this is a principal I apply....and even if I am in a situation I think is worse than one I was in before, I just reflect on all the knowledge I have gained. Surely there is something in this knowledge to get me to where I want to be (if its the right place for me).

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT Nataliejo :party:276:party::party: totally cool!! Do you remember when you first joined this thread, and I said you will weigh less than me in no time! It has happened!! I am packing up everything and going to get a job in predicting the future :p I am too excited for you from the bottom of my heart! Keep it up girlie, you are well on your way. Thanks for the encouragement too about getting to 199, I really needed it....sometimes I feel like i will reach 991 before 199 LOL (joke...I shouldn't joke like that though) Thx too for the compliment on my avi!! I have thought about putting my pic, but mehh I figure pink high heels and blue butterfly wings are more suiting for me :p

MzScorp What's the address for your blog on myspace (if you don't mind giving it) I would love to check it out!! I was thinking of starting my own blog as well....but I'm still thinking about it. I have such diverse interests people might think i'm a bit nutty LOL well people already do, but why recruit more people to join their ranks :p

Hey Kevi! Well u saw my update, lets hope I can maintain health for a decent amount of time. I think I'm the only person in this world that puts on weight when i am sick LOL Hope spring break is so much fun for you this year :)

:rotflmao:Spartacus...the SPANX of the internet HAhahahaha :smilielol5:(<---is the hairline on this smiley receding?) I love that...the spanx LOLOL. I am sorry about what happened to you on the other forum :-( idiots are plenty in this world...I think some people use the internet to reinforce their antisocial behaviors. There are lots of times that I will speak to people directly on a forum and they will completely ignore me and I am not even saying anything offensive....I wonder if they think I do not notice LOLOL or maybe they do not care. Truth be told I do not care either, the thing I care about most is that my intentions are understood, so if someone took something I said in the wrong way, I would care about that and want to amend the situation as fast as possible. Feel free to be yourself here and say whatever you wish. I have yet to see an idiot on this thread, and you are family here :grouphug:

Pink_Clouds, you can maintain your weight, by controlling your eating habit. I'm eating alot of oily and salty food and not to mention rice 24/7. It's just how you controll how you eat. ;) You know that saying? "You are what you eat."

I'm expecting to lose atleast 5 lbs this spring break, I hope I can achieve that goal.

Yep you are so right....I think somewhere I omitted that I have been eating like a :piggy: but since I have been feeling better I have been eating ok...I plan on exercising more as well so we will see how it goes.
BTW Kevi about the salt, when you are eating a salt free diet and then re-introduce salt, you put on about 3-4 pounds of water weight...its why i mentioned it. Even with salt, oil and rice in your diet, you can still lose weight when you are losing fat. If I stopped having salt again these 5 pounds would disappear this weekend lol but I miss salt AND I am tired of water loss...time to get this fat outta here!

I don't quite get it, but okay haha.
I'm doing what I'm doing right now. When I have school, I don't eat lunch so yeah and when I get home I eat around 3 and after that no more eating.

:rotflmao: yeah just keep doing what you're doing. It's working for you. Here is the link to an article that explains water weight and salt to help you better understand it

And that is why these five pounds and I have been battling a bitter duel. I was on a diet that was salt free and supposedly helping you to lose weight, but as soon as you eat anything with salt, bam you can gain like 3 pounds overnight!! pretty wild stuff. I once gained 6 pounds on the weekend and lost it again by Wednesday!! I do not plan on overindulging in salt, but I am eating a well balanced diet with EFA's and the like. I did have my occasional junk food this week:leaving: (especially today) and when I was not well I was not cooking and was eating whatever was first available, but I tried to keep it as healthy as possible...that is why I think it is the salt and the water. And believe me, I am not one to hide if I am eating junk. I used to be like that some years ago, but I'm open now. I also try not to give details as to the bad foods I eat if I ever have junk because I do not want to trigger anyone else's temptations, so if I seem a bit tight lipped about the specific junk I eat it is why.

Phew!!! I think I'm finally of my plateau I didn't lose any weight for four weeks, but now I have lost five pounds in the last two weeks, being on vacation doesn't always help either:)

Only five more pounds and I will be half way to my goal

Kevi ..salt holds onto water ... its the whole chemical thing in salt ..so when you have a lot of salt .. you hand onto the water weight ..because you retain water because you have so much salt in your body .. I had the same problem with my pretzels ..

Oh, so I weighed myself last night, thesame weight, and when I got home today from the park playing basketball, I weighed in at 203.xx and I was half dehydrated haha. I wetted (if thats a word) 2 1/2 shirts hahahaha I guess im getting close, but i'm making 207.8 as my official weight.

Ginger - there is a coach outlet in Limerick, Pa, which I think is w/in an hour from my house...I definately have plans to go there...I only have one dooney and one coach bag, I need/want to get a nice black bag that I can use year round but I gotta save the money up...it's a shame b/c the coach bag I have I don't like anymore...I may sell it on ebay to fund the purchase of a new one :)

I haven't been able to get to the gym the past two days due to scheduling conflicts...so annoying, I totally miss it when I am not there...TG I am going tomorrow, I love Sundays b/c my lifting partner and I can take our time instead of rushing through the routine like we do during the week so we can get to work on time...we have been talking about changing up the routine a little which I am excited about, I totally noticed a complete shift in my weight loss once I started strength training...

My weight loss appears to have stalled a bit, but I think it is related to THAT time of the month (ew) so hopefully, once that passes things will get moving again. If not, I will just keep doing what I do...having cake at work the past two days didn't help...those dang office birthdays! I can't resist the call of carrot cake to save my life.

I am feeling more of a desire to get this over with already - I think that it comes from being able to shop in some normal stores again and the fact that I am frustrated with how long the process is taking...I see posts of people who have lost 70 pounds in a matter of months and I have been working my rear end off for over a year just to get to that point...I know I am just impatient but sheesh...haha, I will get over it, I know I sound whiny...it will pass.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :)

Sounds like me Pink Clouds .. I ate quite enough of the cotton this week and don't seem to be going lower ... I think I might have gone back up to 277.6, but I have to check tomorrow morning. Thats the best time for me to weigh, at nine am ...
so thats what I plan to do ...
but Thanks for your celebration on my new low weight, but you will go back down hun, its probably the salt .. I gained five pounds on salt alone when I was eating pretzels ..of course my one pound weight could be from eating pretzels again ...because I have been .. I need to stay away from those lol yikes ..my mom bought me two boxes, but I did have a craving lol

well ttylater hun
you will lose and probably go below me! lmao
love yas

Ali .. it will come off. Took me a year to lose forty pounds ... and I hated that it took a year. I had wished that I could have been 250 by now. But I won't be 250 until next year, this time. Which is ok I think, because losing slow is the best way to lose.. so don't get too frustrated ..it will all come off in due time .. no worries there ...
keep in mind the less you weigh, the more plateaus you are going to hit ..so dont get discouraged .. keep trecking hun .. We KNOW you can do this!!

Bubbles

I HATE plateaus!! I am so glad you broke yours :) It is hard to keep pushing through it but if you just keep at it (calories in<calories out) you know it HAS to change!

Great job!

natalie jo - keep at it, try to ignore the little fluctuations, that's all they are - I try to look at the big picture, although it is hard at times...

:banghead:

it gets better...
