2007 was a bust! I got separated, lost my home (my husband didn't pay the mortgage only for me to find out after he left) had to move, had to shut down my business, start a new job (just to pay the bills) and all the while try to maintain a healthy and safe environment for my 14 year old daughter...
That being said, I am not surprised my marriage failed, and now looking back I realise the best thing my ex ever did for me was leave...
But now it's a new year, I have a new life, a new outlook, now I just need the body to go with it!
About 4 years ago I was in a near fatal car accident and was injured very badly, I gained almost 60 lbs from inactivity and depression... now I am down about 25 and want to lose the rest...
Funny thing is I was a fitness instructor, swimming instructor and coach, and worked part-time as a canoeing instructor... I am no stranger to fitness and health, I am a great motivator... to others!
I guess now it's about acknowledging the fact that I deserve to be healthy and happy, I have been working on the happy, now I want the healthy...
So I am basically looking for some encouragement, a little support, honesty and every now and then a kick in the pants!
I am 34 years old (a woman) 5 feet 7.5 inches, of medium to large build and currently weigh 209 my goal weight is approximately 155-165 give or take, my goals include getting more active, getting back into a pool (I love to swim, but haven't graced a pool since the accident) and taking up yoga...
I look forward to hearing from you about your successes and your set backs, tell me your story, maybe we can set some goals together? help each other out??
