Well hey everyone! My name's Jess and i'm 24 years old and live in Tasmania (in Australia). I'm struggling a lot with my weight loss at the moment due to not being able to do much exercise at all! I broke my leg in 5 places on the 15th of May! What REALLY sucks about that is that I had only been off crutches for ten days after being on them or 7 weeks for tearing the lateral ligament (ligament on the outside of the ankle). So I had just gotten back into Trampolining which I love. I got home, took off my ankle brace, stepped of the step on a slight ankle and went down when my ankle collapsed and twisted. I now have 10 screws and a plate in my leg...

I've lost 5kgs since I broke my leg but i"m really struggling with losing more and could use all the help I get!!!

Welcome to the forum from another aussie :)

thats awfull luck with the leg :( my first sugestion would be to read all the sticky posts scattered around the forum then ask any specific questions you may have.

I am so sorry to hear of your broken leg. I have to say that a broken leg is something that I really dread the idea of because I walk a lot.

The exercise sticky threads sounds the best place to start.

If you still have questions - there is a really knowledgeable person that often answers questions here called "Steve". You could try asking a question in his diary.

I would imagine that the more restricted you are regarding the calories that you can burn - the more vigilant you would have to be regarding the calories that you take in. If you are not already doing so - log the food that you have on . You can plot activity on there too in order to see the calorie balance. It also gives a breakdown of nutrients.
