New & trying to get healthy

Hi,

I'm a 24 year old female, I recently did an online BMI calculation and was horrified at the results.

After high school, I got so involved in studies and my business that I "let myself go". I put on 35 kilograms in a short space of time and I'm struggling to lose this.

I started exercising and found that I lost a good few inches. However, I did not continue with it religiously and gained it all back with little more!

I'm here and open to any suggestions with regard to getting healthy again.

I'd really appreciate any advice or motivation.

Thanks :)

Welcome to the forum.

Most of us end up reaching the conclusion that we need to get out of the "going on a diet" mindset and think in terms of a change in lifestyle that is going to last a lifetime... It seems to be the only thing that gets us away from the yoyo of losing weight while we eat healthily and exercise - then stopping both and watching it all pile back on (and more) to then have to do it all again...

I suspect that you already know the answer.

Start exercising again and eat healthily and make a lifelong commitment towards keeping it up...

Good luck with your project.
