new to this. but not so new...

to being overweight.
growing up I was always a skinny guy. then one year around 8 or 9 years old i blew up.
ever since then ive struggled with my weight. at 15 or 16 i was weighing well over 215 pounds at 5'6".
im now almost 21 and ever since then ive fluctuated but never going under 190.
i dont want to be skinny; i want to be more fit and healthy and moreover just feel better about myself.
i weigh about 220 right now and stand at 5'8".
everything from my hips down looks decent. my legs are strong and in shape to me, but i dont look proportionate on my top half. i carry around alot of weight in my stomach and in my chest and back.
id like to look in the mirror and be pleased, which i am currently not.
but ive joined this website and im dedicated to starting to eat better and exercise and hopefully with help from the people here i can get somewhere.
any feedback would be nice.

those are the best pictures i can find that show more than just my face or my body AT AN ANGLE.
today i also took before pictures shirtless but im not ready to post those just yet. lol
 
I love the last picture! Very artsy and you have a great canvas to work from! I'm new too and so far I really like it here. The people are very nice and supportive, so I hope you have a similar experience. :]

What is your goal weight and what kind of routine do you want to start?

thanks for the help wit the bbc code. im VERY new to forums in general so i was wondering why the pics wouldnt go through.

my goal weight is 180 (40 lbs less) and id liek to start an exercise plans thats very cardio based i guess you can say. something that will work my stomach and my arms and chest alot.
