Hi, it's good that you decide to lose weight and have a new life. Well once you decide, you have to keep going and going and is for long term. You should have good habit about food and exercise, change your habit everyday and keeping your new habit until you use to it.

I did that and until now I am keeping my habit, the first thing I did was keep all the healthy food in the kitchen and the fridge. So all the stuff like soda, cookies, chocolate etc. should not in your kitchen.

I also share my weight-loss plan with a friend. It is always easier when you are two people and more fun!

I Wrote down my goal on many papers with details (prefer something like “loose every week 2 pounds” to “I must eat less”) and stick it everywhere (bedroom, fridge, bathroom …).
I Drink a lot of water ( 3 L per day) and forget all kind of fast food.

I think that should be a good beginning. Good Luck !

Welcome.

The people that are successful in losing weight, saving their health from ruin, getting the energy back and looking great are people that:

1. Get real numerical about losing weight. Such as stating your weight, gender, height, age and then figure out how to eat and exercise to make that happen

2. Get ready to start changing habits today. I suggest you do one thing right now. Drink 2 -12 ounce glasses of water before every meal and 1 -12 oz glass of water before any snack. It cuts down the appetite and allows the liquid the body needs to do its thing.

3. Write down everything you eat.

4. Must be COMMITTED in a big way. As if there is nothing more important right now.

Start with that if you find that you are committed to making this change. Tell us more about your history too.

We're on your side

Frank

Welcome, much respect for military people.

I believe others around here also deal with some injury while losing weight, always good to check that out. Good luck!
