New to the forum. Looking for support

Hello,

I'm looking for support and ideas and inspiration. I've always been a bit heavier, but after having my first baby and ending up with a wonderful husband, I really want to take care of myself so I can have the energy to play with my kid and set a good example and look good for my husband.

I'm at 150lbs. I was down to 143lbs earlier this year, but gained it back after a stress induced binge. I am aiming to be around 135lbs, and be a bit muscular and healthy and to feel good and energetic. I'm just not much of a kangaroo pouch fan.
 
Welcome! You have come to a great place to get support. I found it very motivating to read in the journal section - once you feel like it, you could start a journal too! It is a great way to track your progress and share your successes! What are you doing for weight loss right now?
 
so far Im writing down how many calories I'm taking in, and restricting my number of meals to 5. I eat protein in every meal, and try to eat as healthy as possible. I am also doing the "8 minute abs workout" on youtube and do cardio on my own.
 
I start my day with 1 hr elipitcal (hadn't always done the eliptical, started on the treadmill, but switched over about 3 months ago, and that's when I really noticed my butt started coming off!) I set the elipitcal up so that I burn about 800 caleries in 1 hour. My meals, I do a big breakfast, then a small lunch and no dinner (sometimes on weekends I eat a small dinner but nothing after 6:00pm). My meals there are no sweets (an occasional fruit is OK), low carb. I've also been off of softdrinks. No diet drinks or regular softdrinks, but I do drink hot green tea and carbonated soda water (Perrier), and lots of bottled water. So far I've lost 57 pounds...another 60 to go!
