Hello All!
I am 27 years old and (like almost everyone on here) trying to lose weight. I am at the heaviest that I have ever been. Weighing in at a hefty 180, I feel like a complete pig. I am 5'9 tall. Well actually I am right under 5'9. my goal weight is 130 lbs. I would like to at least get to 150 by June or sometime there abouts.
A little about myself...
I am currently in graduate school getting my MS in Education and School Counseling. I currently work as a school counselor at a boarding school, which is an added obstacle to my weight loss. The school I work at provides meals for the students and staff three times a day. I typically eat breakfast and lunch at the school. Of course, they feed the kids crap. As a result, I am eating crap. Ha! The obvious solution to this plan is to stop eating at the school and bring food from home. I find my self too tired to make food a lot of the time. Also, I save SO MUCH money but eating at school. But I know that I will have to stop eating at the school or at least fight the temptation to eat crap and only salads, in order for me to really lose. weight.
All my life, I have been tall and slim. I used to weigh 130. The last two years of undergrad I gained a considerable amount of weight. Although, I have made numerous attmepts of trying to get the weight off after graduating, they have all failed. Now, I am serious about my weight loss. I cannot and will not allow another Spring/Summer come and go leaving me feeling fat. I am so tired of having to look for tops to wear in the summer time that have sleeves becasue I am self concious about my arms. It is such a pain!
I have started attending spinning and turbo kick boxing classes at 24 hour fitness. I love them and they really give me a good work out. I really do not mind working out. In fact, I look forward to it. My main problem is what I eat.
Does anyone have suggestions regarding a good diet plan. What I should eat and what I should run away from. I know that I should not eat sugars. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
This time I WILL bring sexy back! Lol.
