New To Site!

you want to lose weight, and I presume you want the weight to be fat?
Did they tell you do do high reps with weights to tone your muscles? that is a myth, you can't do that :p
Are you working out? willing to go to a gym? or do you want the entire thing to take care of itself from the diet?

I was going to gym daily till i was told not to due to 2 slipped discs and a leaking disc. I now have just bought an ab lounge sport, and a exercise bike, and I walk daily. I can do weights if thats what i need to do. I was told nothing that puts any stress on back. I just started a diet and am hoping this all will work together and take of lbs.

with slipped discs and such I am really out of my league. no stress at all? You could probably do some bodyweight lunges, bulgarian squats, etc. (google them if you don't know them.) but then again, I'm not your doctor.

ya, and a trainner dosent want to touch the subject either. I was told walking is the best. I have bought every work out dvd/video on the market and i think they are all a joke!! i have hand weights and might need to start using them. A good friend of mine works for a supplement place and he helpd me find ane to try. "TIGHT" and i hope it help a little along the weigh. The GNC stores give me a headach with the stuff they tell me so i just went for this. im gonna goole those that you said to see about them too

you really should talk with a professional about it though. someone who can give you proper exercises to do. the problem is finding someone who is good at what they do. It can be very hard. Unfortunately I'm not from the states so I have no idea where you could go, how expensive it would be, etc.

ya its hard thats why I have just bought equipment for my home and am doing it on my own...Well trying..LOL I just have it in my head to be in a bikini by the summer and Ill do what ever it takes!!

OK, I dont wanna take away from Kara BUT I'm new to the site too and just curious why there is nothing in the For Sale Equipm. section.

I need TONS of advice and hope to get help here as I'm opening a gym and hope to be open by July.

I'm 110 and 5'5 and I dont need to lose weight but I need to tone. I just turned 38 and things seem to be heading south. I've never worked out a day in my life but was in a bad snowmobile accident and broke my neck and back a few years ago. I own a tanning salon and it's been successful for 3 years and so I'm adding another service (Fitness) in the building I own. Hopeing to rehabilitate my body and offer my town something it doesn't currently have.

I'll start posting questions and hopefully get some help. Oh ya, I puechased a gym that went out of business and will be moving their equipment to my building the first part of June.

New here... looking for motivation to get offa my butt!

Hi, I'm a mom of three and hurt my shoulder in February so I had to put off school for radiology tech. I walk and have started (w.in the last week) other assorted exercises, but I don't feel like I am doing enough. I don't want to do the gyms, and tried to get into pilates. I've done it before then quit, and now it's super hard to get restarted! Looks like a nice group of people, glad to have joined! I am 5'5.5, and currently weigh just about 230 (but no one believes me so I guess I wear it well.... but *I* know!!)..
