Hello! My name is Alexi and I am new to this forum thing! I started training for my very first half-marathon in June....the race is Dec. 2. Only I decided I want to train to WIN! People think I'm absolute nuts since I'm just a girl from Florida....not Kenya (unfortunately). Any of you out there COMPETITIVE long distance runners? What kind of tips can you give me? Eating habits, training habits, shoes, what are your stats? (I've noticed a lot of fast runners are very teeny) Thanks for the tips! (in advance)

5'8" , 24 yrs, 140 lbs, (dunno my body fat right now...been a while since I've checked it) I'm fairly muscular though since I started my training... still have a little extra fat hiding my lower abs...but I'm gettin there fast!
