New to it all. Hello.

Hi, I'm Berry, and I recently (today, about an hour ago) decided that I'd like to keep healthy. I actually walk a lot, everyday, for an hour or so, and I've a naturally fast pace. But I walk because I like walking, not for exercise. But I can't run at all. Whenever I try to speed up, I instantly start wheezing (I have asthma) and give up. So I've decided that I'm going to start off slowly. According to Wii fit, my BMI is bam smack in the middle of healthy. I'd really like to keep it that way, maybe even lose some weight off my legs (which may be muscle from walking so much.)

I'd like to start jogging, preferably in the somewhat early mornings so that I don't get paranoid about people's eyes on me. Hm, apart from that, I love to read and write, and I also love Indian food (mmmm, korma and massala). I am also addicted to coke (the fizzy kind), but not for it's caffeine, for the general taste. I'll need to learn to sacrifice that, too.

So hello everyone, I hope to learn a lot while I'm here. :)

Hi Berry! im new too, also from England but now live in Canada, been going to the gym seriously for just over a year now and also hoping to learn a bit i guess.
Interesting what you said about the Wii,my girlfriend also joined the gym a year ago and didnt want to renue her membership as she simply doesnt like going and was looking for another way to keep fit,i brought her a Wii for her birthday and she was thinking about getting the Wii fit,how accurate can that BMI be? and do you think there a good way to keep fit? how long have you had yours? and how often do you use it?
A lot of questions i know, just interested to her your views.

And im no expert but as for the Indian food and Coke, everything in moderation right? :)

All the best, Frank.
