New to gym after major injury.. Please help

Hey,
I'm looking for help and advice on a meal plan for helping to loose fat and gain muscle.
As well any advice on suitable workout plans.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I recently just got my final ok from my doctor to return to the gym after a 2 year recovery from a car accident.
There are so many things that have changed since I was last in the gym and honestly now have no idea what I'm doing. I also am on a very tight budget as medical bills add up fast.
I still have fair amount of definition in my muscles but my strength is not to what it once was,
I'm hoping to regain strength and maintain once body fat is down.
Once again only hoping to maintain not bulk or get into heavy lift like body building.

Diet would be a simple case of well balanced and cutting intake all round not cutting out. Would try to keep it simple in order not to give you something you couldn't stick to.
Training wise would need as much background as possible regarding damage, current limitations and any advice your doctor has given. We may occasionally give advise that you are not sure about, if in doubt doctor has to win, he sees you we don't.
 
Follow your clinician's plan of care once you are given medical clearance. Do not assume that you can simply jump right back into where you left off before your injury.
